I discovered their products in the summer of 2022. I just found your channel last month. I can attest to tails and petals shampoo. I don’t have to use conditioner afterwards on my Yorkies. I just tried natures specialties plum silky shampoo and I can already feel how dry my dogs skin is. I conditioned her afterwards with a conditioner from natures specialties and her hair is happy, but nowhere as happy as with petals and tails shampoo. Love your videos! I have a 4 lb morkie and a 5 lb maltese. My experience with groomers has not been great in Miami so I do it all myself. Your videos are so helpful for perfecting my grooms. THIS is the best and my FAVORITE video EVER, Amy! The pillar legs I've been after are there and you teach how to "velvetize" (from my "Karyn's Dictionary") the body coat using chunkers. I cannot figure out how I did not see this video before now as it says you made it a whole year ago! HOW could I possibly not have seen it before! It is the PERFECT video for starting all Maltese cuts (Bichon cuts). Thank you so very much! My pillars are there at last! I'm going to do them this afternoon and hopefully send photos to of a beautiful groom. ❤ EDIT: I just came by to watch the whole thing over again to make sure that I have it memorized. I have to delete, from my brain cells, information that I've learned other places that is wrong. Pure logic dictates that YOUR way is correct, especially for the pillar legs. I think TwinkleBelles is smaller than that dog as I use a tighter guard comb. ½" is a little bit too long for her. I'm getting ready to put her in the bathtub right now so I will figure it out shortly but I wanted to watch this video again to make certain that it's embedded in my head 😁

Thanks for inspiring me to take better care of my boy. He's a yorkiepoo. But I think I cut his ears too short. But now we have a routine I brush him every night. And I think because we have bonded more, he even let me cut his nails this morning. I think he just doesn't like the sound the nail clippers make. Are there nail clippers that are quiet? I just “discovered” you today; I really wish that I had discovered you before I bought my clippers (although I did get good ones) I was searching to see what I could do to help my dog be calmer on the grooming table; I have 3 tiny toy poodles (5-6 pounds) the 2 females are fairly good; although one does not want her feet done! But my Joey-boy; he totally freaks out when you try to clipper his legs or feet. I’ll keep searching your channel to see if I can find some advice on that.

I am not clear on difference between the Jodi Murphy “outliner” shear and the Kenchi “LOVE” chunker. Do I need both to Teddy bear cut my Maltese? Can you explain their different use better. Grooming starts with you at home. Brushing and bathing regularly. I pro groom puppies at 8-10 weeks old. It it’s short sessions, light trimming. Full trim comes as their coat changes from puppy to adult. Get on a schedule with a pro groomer and they will direst you according to your pups needs.
