Amaranth is awesome. The hopi inspired some naturalizing concepts that might be useful. Basically, you study your crop area, after a week or two without rain you dig to see how deep the moisture is. So I wonder if you then plant corn and then partially fill the hole if that would improve the chances of the corn. I think here in southafrica we'll have to start a Guerilla free food farming movement to snap people out of impoverished mindset, I'm already driving along thinking where crops will have some chances to be left undisturbed long enough to yield. God bless.

Mother Earths supermarket! Loved this video. X It saddens me that we live in a country (UK) that is so far removed from the beauties of nature. How beautiful is this place and all this beautiful foods. Give me this anyday over concrete City. We have dirty tap water and oceans, dirty air and pollution, supermarkets full of cartons and boxes claiming to be food, and whatever is fresh natural foods has been poisoned with pesticides, coated in car wax!, or unnecessarily wrapped in plastic and days, weeks, or months old.
