Anyone else always get excited for a tutorial that's way beyond their skill level? Thanks to Taylor I've gone from not a juggler to being a very terrible juggler. I'm improving slowly but surely though!

Dear Taylor, it’s Paolo from Italy here. I want to express my appreciation for your talent in analyzing and presenting the not obvious elementary logic hidden in complex structures like 4 clubs juggling. This is very much like teaching physics as I am doing.

I have always been able to juggle three balls "fairly well" and kinda forgetting I had that skill I did it for my 8 year old daughter for the first time goofing around a few weeks ago with some squishy balls she had it simply floored her, she just could not believe her Dad could do this witchcraft! haha, she asks me to do it all the the time now and this kind of reignited my interest in juggling I had when I was younger so always wanting to try pins I ordered some Zeekio pins from your recommendation for budget beginner gear on another one of your videos hoping her and I can learn together and have our own "Thing" to bond with, I feel like a kid waiting by the mailbox again! I love your videos they are so easy to follow and have been watching a bunch lately, Thank you!

I just managed 100 catches with 4 clubs last week after more than a year of trying, where the first several months were spent trying to do flashes. Every session still ends with many red marks on my forearms, so getting that angle right is definitely important.

Do you have clubs with soft handles?
@johnsmith-gq5jw3 жыл бұрын
@@ts214121 It's not the handles that bang up your forearms. It's the knobs. And I didn't realize until this video that I need to angle the club slightly outward to protect my forearms from those knobs. I look forward to trying that tip.

Taylor I really admire that your patterns are so symmetrical, narrow and well timed. What is showing in the lack of lurching and in the solidity of your stance is the many (obvious) hours of work and concentration that are necessary in really establishing solid fundamentals. All this together with your calmness (and sense of humor too) makes you one of the best juggling instructors I’ve seen. Thank you. 🌞

Thanks for using different colors on each side. It makes the pattern much easier to see. I started a juggling club in 1986 in high school and in 1988 in college and used to juggle with friends at events. I stopped and haven't juggled since around 1990. Juggling four clubs and five balls was the last thing I could do. I want to start doing it again for fun and fitness.

Hello Paul, it’s great to see another older person watching juggling tutorials on KZbin (I taught myself to juggle around 1986) 😊. I had taken two sabbaticals from juggling myself. Initially because when I had learned I was basically in a knowledge vacuum, and although I wanted to move up to 4 and 5 balls I literally didn’t have any resources to show me how back then. Then at a Renaissance Fair I bought a set of “Crystal Stix” (basically devil/flower sticks) and that brought me back into juggling in a big way and I was finally able to get a hold of juggling books and some info on the web and was able to finally learn 4 and 5 balls and club juggling. I had also progressed to 4 clubs and eventually 6 balls in preparation for trying to learn 7 balls, but at the time I was so obsessed with 7 that I didn’t spend much time on 6, even though there are of course some fantastic 6 ball patterns. But because of my age and of course the difficulty of 7, I wasn’t able to even get a 7 ball flash. And the practice sessions became so mind numbing that I had to take a break, a very long break from juggling! 😊 Now I’ve just gotten back into it and I am going to try to make a final push to a 5 club cascade but I realize that it might not happen just because of the age factor.
@boscodog92892 жыл бұрын
As I was learning 3 clubs, I went to my garage and got 3 carpenter's hammers to try juggling them. They're amazingly well balanced, have rubber-clad handles, and are easy to spin. However, because of the sharp steel claw, I would NOT recommend them for beginners. Give it a try, Taylor! You could make a video at a construction site, wearing a neon T-shirt, bib overalls, a hard hat, and a tool belt. Wow. I can see it now...
