I am a crocheter. I tried knitting a few different times and just couldn’t get it. Once I finally told myself that I WAS going to learn, I was determined! This is the exact pattern on why I wanted to learn; to make the same dish clothes that my grandma has made for everyone her entire life. With this tutorial, I am able to make that happen! My neighbor made a cotton dish cloth for me for Christmas. I just started knitting this year and I have some cotton yarn that I bought and haven't used yet so I thought I would try to make one. Thank you for the lesson! Haven’t knitted in years and this was a great project to relearn knitting. BTW at the end instead of cutting and weaving the thread right away, I crocheted a chain and slip stitched back into first chain before cutting thread to create a hanger for the dish rag.

Thank you for these clear instructions. I like to use these as oversize coasters on my bedside table so I don't scratch the wood when I set things down. I was buying them on ebay but now I can make them myself in my favorite colors.

If you’re a beginner like me do yourself a favor and buy some quality cotton yarn from a local shop not the cheap peaches and cream sold at big stores. Worth every dollar I can’t believe how much easier it is to work with. I was pulling my hair out with the peaches and cream. Thanks for the great tutorial
