If all else fails find Jenny on youtube. With my 1/4" foot and 2 x 5 1/2" squares I made a 6 1/4" pinwheel and from 2 x 6" squares I get a 7" pinwheel. Many thanks for life saver tutorial.

The pinwheel tutorial gave me an idea to use up all the charm paks I have collected. I also am in love with the tutorial on 'one seam ' flying geese! I love flying geese but hate seeing the sides to the triangle. Keep the tutorials coming! I'm addicted!

I am always telling people to go watch Jenny at MSQC. I always make any size block that requires a pinwheel pattern. I find if you cut off those little tips from the squares before you sew the block together you don't get any bulk. Love your easy ways Jenny!

Hi, I too am new to quilting, sewing period for that matter. When I retired I discovered I needed a hobby and someone suggested quilting. I love this method. I needed a quick idea for a doll quilt for my friends daughter. When I saw this video I just knew it would be perfect. I used fabric from my stash. I used 4 in. squares and sashing between each pinwheel. It worked perfect. The quilt turned out perfect and everyone loved it.

I love Missouri quilt star tutorials. When I first started quilting I tried a pin wheel quilt and it took forever. Then I saw this tutorial and I laughed at how easy it is to make them. Now I always check first for a quick method. Thank you for your help:)

Thanks Jenny, this is such an easy method. I'm making a quilt and the pattern uses a flying geese and a rectangle of the background solid sewn together for each arm of the pinwheel! So much unnecessary bulk and work! I'll be trying to work out what size of square to start with, but that'll probably be easier than the pattern's method. You are awesome, Jenny xx
