Great video! I kept wanting to read the rulebook and couldn't get myself to start even though it's short and well written. Watching you video gave me a good sense of everything. Read the rulebook afterwards and this video does a very good job of explaining the rules. Other than discarding the older 2 villain cards, I don't think you missed anything.

You don't have to "always" play all four Turtles. You can swap in Casey, April, and/or Splinter. There will always be 4 heroes. In the Mouser scenario you can play by yourself.

At 35:00 I think for the desperation activation you only get either 1 movement, 1 melee, or 1 ranged attack. I do not believe you get the movement as well as 1 attack. I think it is a choice of the 1 of the 3 options.
@LearntoPlayGames8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question I rechecked the rule book and you might be right I read it as you would get one move and either one melee or one ranged. I will check with the creators just to be sure and will add a correction if I got it wrong. thanks for posting this and bringing it to my attention. I want my videos be as accurate as possible.

I Have a couple terrain questions. If a hero is on elevated terrain (blue border) and moves off he takes damage, but does not if he jumps into garbage or some other soft terrain correct? How much damage is taken for just falling off? And my next question is about the fire escape tile, I'm not sure how to use it correctly. Is it two movement to move onto the tile and one movement to move off at the top? And finally do the villains follow all the same rules for terrain as the hero's?

Just a question on KO and waking up a Hero/Villain. The rule book says "...stands up if they have accumulated at least as much life as the number...." My question is this, let say Michelangelo needs 8 hit points to awaken and you roll 4 damage this turn, which is 4 short of awakening. Do you add those 4 hit points back onto his hit point base, so the next round he would only have to roll 4 more in order get the 8 needed to awaken? The confusing word in the rules is "Accumulated", for me meaning it is a total from each attempt to recover or awaken. Being he needs 8 to awaken, he would have to roll all of his dice with (3)shells, plus roll enough damage to cover the last points needed to recover, at least 5 damage on 3 dice. The rules does not specify if the KO'd Hero can use their neighbor's defensive dice. But from reading it, it does not sound like you can.
@LearntoPlayGames8 жыл бұрын
I will look at the rule book again and see what I think and I will get back with you. I will also write the developer and see if they have a ruling on it. From what I remember of it I was under the impression that you would need to roll them all at once, I think you would get the defensive dice your fellow turtles are sharing and you will need to have a turtle or two around you to help boost the awakening. Thanks for watching and for the question.
@DogmeatDied9898 жыл бұрын
Learn to Play Games per the rule book, on page 17, "the hero regains life equal to the damage rolled on the battle dice AND stands up IF they have accumulated at least as much life as the number in parentheses next to their life attribute."

Thank you for the great tutorial. We are about to play our first works version game. Am still unclear about movements. One time you were adjacent to a villain and you moved one space which costed you 3 movements. I'm unsure why, as surely just one additional movement is added not 2? Or am I misunderstanding that?
@LearntoPlayGames7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback, as for your question movement penalties stack, not sure what part you are talking about but if you are moving for each enemy adjacent to you will cost you an additional point of movement, Terrain will also affect this so if you are moving into difficult terrain it costs an additional point of movement as well. So lets say you are moving Don and he is adjacent to one enemy and he is moving into a space with a yellow boarder (difficult terrain) he would need to spend 3 move pts to do this. Hope that helps let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching.

@@LearntoPlayGames if I'm next to an enemy and pay the penalty to move, but when I move 1 space I'm still next to the enemy, should I still pay the 1 move penalty again until I'm not advanced to him?

When you're the villain and have four cards do you use all four of them that turn?
@LearntoPlayGames7 жыл бұрын
no you only choose two cards per villain activation to use and you can't activate the same model twice in the same turn.
@memberremoved7 жыл бұрын
So can the villain player use the same model multiple times in the same "round"?
@LearntoPlayGames7 жыл бұрын
So this is were things get a little tricky first let me define round vs turn. In turtles one turtle player will activate their turtle than the villain player will play two cards doing each one separately and resolving it completely before playing the second card. during this turn the villain player can't activate the same model twice, than it goes back to the turtle players to activate a turtle, when that player is done the villain player will get another turn where he does the same thing playing two cards now he is allow to activate a model he activated in the first turn. So in other words if you have Shredder you can activate him once per turn (which would be one of the two cards you played) or four times in a round with a round consisting of four turns (a turn would be one turtle and the villain playing two cards). You can't play two cards in the same turn to activate Shredder or another model. Hope this helps thanks for watching and asking the question. I pull this if page 14 in the rules.

Hi, I played the first battle in the first comic a few times, and each time i played, the villans are able to have 3 minions escape in the first few turns of round 1. It seems too easy for the villans. would you say that is correct? I feel like i have to be playing incorrectly, but I've watched this video a few times and it seems correct. what do u think?
@LearntoPlayGames7 жыл бұрын
thanks for the question, the first mission is a challenge and from the games I have played it is always close if the players know what they are doing. Normally in the first mission the turtles players will focus on KOing a couple of the enemies than get over to the other board splitting the team so both exit areas can be defended. The first couple of turns the enemy player should be able to get a couple of his models off the board so that is normal. Positioning is huge as it will slow down some of the enemies so make sure you are taking advantage of that. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Learn to Play Games Thanks for the response! I think we just had some really great hands for the villains and minimal movment dice for the turtles. I like the fact that it makes me want to keep trying though because it's such a challenge for the turtles. Thanks again!

Would it be possible to house rule Raphael into having three dice and sharing like the other turtles, or would that somehow put him at a disadvantage?

This looks kind of basic and dice heavy. Would you say there is much strategy involved/interesting choices?
@LearntoPlayGames6 жыл бұрын
I would say it is dependent on dice but I feel that there are many strategy elements to it. I feel players need to work together and use their dice and strengths wisely to make it through each scenario and depending on the enemy players skill can have a up hill battle which I like. Thanks for watching and for the question hope this helps.
