Two Eye come of man, you can’t be that bad. I used to practice Ollie’s from the time I got out of school until 9 and I took a shower and ate and went to bed. I took about 3 months and then I moved and couldn’t take my street board with me. All I have and can afford is my longboard and I can’t do any tricks now. If you went through my Situation I think you would quit bro. Perpetuation demands dedication. Don’t say you suck bc that’s what keeps you a novice. I’m one of the best goddamn skaters I know and I can’t even ollie but I know I can rekindle my skills bc I could do Ollie’s, kickflips, heelflips, shove-it’s and all kinds of freestyle tricks. It’s always in arms reach bro and when you start thinking it’s not it’s like chopping your shit off.

This guy gets it. Its about how you try to learn shit. If you're actually focused and committed to learning stuff you will learn quicker. Most if ya'll probably just repeat the same shit over and over, not thinking about what you're doing and just hope that one day you're magically going to be able to do it. "What am I doing wrong?" "That was good, do it exactly the same!" "That was bad, what did I do wrong?" You can't just get angry and frustrated because its not working, figure it out and try to fix it.
@burnngpigs4 жыл бұрын

I don't want to brag but I started skating 5 days ago. I can now: Ollie about 30cm high, Drop in a Quarterpipe (higher then his), I can't kickflip yet..., I can also grind a bit, well I can do a little feeble and 50-50 in the Quarterpipe

A lot of people here are saying "man I suck" in response to this video. It's easy to see his success and forget he had an experienced and dedicated coach helping him see all his mistakes! If you want to improve fast, skate with other people who can help you out. They'll always help w pointers and advice. They know how hard it is to learn that kickflip you've struggled with.

Man getting back into skating has been amazing for me. I'm 26 and went to a skate plaza for the first time. I had a shifty board and after five minutes I had 2 new decks and had pointers from different guys there.

See I may be late, but this dude is great. I really want a skateboard because I had a crappy penny board and I still have it but I can’t even do tricks on it but idk my board size since I’ve never even used a real skateboard

Don't ever compare yourself while skateboarding. Take your own time. Learning slow has its own benifits. I mean i somehow learned to swim and do everything they taught in my local pool in like a week. After which i progressed to another 'pros' pool. My friend, Who joined at the same time as me took almost 40 days to perfect all the tricks. But when he came to my pool i could easily spot the difference between myself and him, he was way better. I'm willing to bet that all those people who took 2 months to get an Ollie can land the grinding easily because they're more comfortable with the board.
@AndrewSSGSS6 жыл бұрын
Did you keep skating?
@MaxsMonthlyChallenge6 жыл бұрын
Not so much. I do a new challenge every month and they can be very time consuming (along with running 2 businesses and other life things). I'm thinking of doing a 360 flip challenge next year though!

I can see he likes extreme sports (judging by the snowboards), that’s why he learned fast, he wasn’t scared to get hurt or fall, he just kept full sending it every time, plus he had a really good instructor

some tip to do a pop shuv is practicing in some concrete stairs and start jumping to the front (so you will be "climbing" the stairs) then when you get that, you put some piece of paper on the floor and start kicking then and jump (you kick with the left and jump with the right) then you just have to do the same at your skateboard and done :)!

If you land a kick flip by the end of this I'll be seriously impressed. And I'm guessing by the end of this ur gonna find that the grind wasn't the hardest.... at least not if ur board sliding. I been watching a lot of these in thirty days things, and I actually can already do the goals of like 70% of the videos... liek this one... I can grind kick flip and olly... but that's my limit... i'm someone who gets bored when I succeed.... so when I start to succeed at something i tend to wanna try something new and succeed at that... remember succeeding is NOT mastery.... I usually get to whe nI can DO IT.... but i'm not good at it...... it's useful for impressing new people :> guy walks up with paintings.. hey I can draw really good...... guy walks up with skateboard... hey lemme kick flip...... guy walks up with musical instrument.... yeah I can do that too...... I CAN DO them all... but this does not mean I don't suck at each one ;D But I could impress anyone who has never done these things, with these things......
