I visited Istanbul twice a few years ago. I'm originally from Iran. Since my visit my mom got me addicted to Turkish series. Hahahaha. I've always been a lover of languages so I started learning Turkish. Originally I was watching them subtitled, but I finally got to a stage where I now understand 98 to 100% of the Turkish spoken in most series. I think it was easier for me to learn Turkish because of two main reasons. One being that Farsi has tons of words in common with Turkish, and the other is just my love of languages. Your videos are great and I love how you clearly pronounce and enunciate. However if you wouldn't mind me making a friendly suggestion, as much as it is nice to get more content in a shorter video, I think for people who are learning it is nicer to have a teacher that slows down a bit when they are going over the material. Thank you for the great work you do and I wish you a lovely spring and summer ahead. 🌷🙏🙂

This is great. In the Southern US where we have a connection to Scottish and English ancestry, we say some similar things. We say “Take it Easy” when we leave a place. I was born in England to Cypriot parents and so watch your videos to improve my Turkish. When I went on holiday to Turkey, many people commented not on my accent but on my diction which was thought to be old-fashioned and polite. I however would like to sound more current and everyday native. Please could you do a video on Turkish contractions and formal to informal language usage. For example: bir - bi; değil mi - demi. I think I'm pronouncing every letter, a little like Zeki Müren, rather than being fluid in my speech. BTW, your English accent is fantastic, as too are your clear, well constructed videos. 👏👏👏

Here's a solution! Go to settings on the main screen. It looks like a gear. Click on speed and set to lower percentage of speed. You can use it for reading subtitles during complex conversation on videos as well. It's been a real help for me since discovering it watching Turkish series!
