I always remember sych is dry by linking it with the Italian word "secco" which means dry, like in the dry bubbly wine Prosecco or in music terminology "recitativo secco" ("dry recitative;" accompanied by only one or two Instruments, not the full orchestra.)

Sut is pronounced sit in south Wales? Where ur from, curious make it sound like there is a h there? Isn't that North Wales, confusing same word but sound completely different.
