Yes, "to devote" and "to dedicate" are very similar in meaning and are often used interchangeably, but they can have slightly different connotations depending on the context.. To devote typically indicates a personal or emotional commitment to something, often over a longer period. To dedicate usually refers to formally allocating something for a specific purpose, often with a sense of ceremony or honour.
