When I watch your videos, it takes me by surprise to learn how certain words are pronounced. I thought the letter L in "fils" was pronounced, but it's not. It's tricky!

I am currently learning both German and French (it's not easy). I find the German long words really amusing to learn, but difficult to remember. In my opinion, German is much easier to learn because there aren't so many growling noises in the words, and because many German words have a pattern common with the English ones.

Please, for your point about pronunciation ( not pronouncing the letter N in the end of mamman) What about these words MAI(may month) and MAIN( hand). Are these two words pronounced the same? I can't differentiate between thrm in pronunciation

dear alexa, i do family research (genealogy) on my Belgian ancestors. could you do a lesson on interpreting birth, marriage, death records in French? It is the legal terms i have trouble with. Some records are on a form. But some are just handwritten (which is another problem!) thank you.
