BRO! YOU JUST MADE MY LIFE SO EASY! I had my cache set to my C drive. It filled up all 500gb. When I was importing media files, the audio wouldn't work at all! I cleaned the cache and it deleted almost 400gb of space on the C drive. Now my cache is located on my E drive and it's running SO SMOOTH!

Turing off the "Automatically refresh growing files" pretty much eliminated the issues I was having with the slow speed of my playback and lagging with scrubbing. THANK YOU

8:21 because if you are editing a commercial right there on set, you will absolutely need this option since you will be most likely be getting new shots as they are being shot, and the commercial will be edited the moment the shooting is finished and ready to be broadcast on TV the next day. just one of many examples where you would need this option. editing news the moment they are happening would be the other situation. many many uses for this option.

One thing you neglected to mention was the use of proxies. While it's a little time consuming and hogs up a hot of storage space, it's extremely helpful if you want to edit high resolution, particularly h.265 footage, on a hardware limited computer.

When exporting using H.264 or HEVC, at Encoding settings, performance it's grayed out and I got only "Software Encoding", Hardware encoding is unavailable. Thus Premiere Pro doesn't use the GPU when exporting. In Project Settings Mercury playback, CUDA is enabled and Premiere Pro exports the slowest out of my 4 video editing programs. How to enable Hardware encoding? CPU: Ryzen 3900X GPU: GTX1070 RAM: 16GB Thanks!
