Theme park designer, Morgan Richardson, challenges teachers to look toward themed entertainment as an answer to America's struggle for quality public education.
Morgan Richardson has spent over a decade in the themed entertainment industry. He is currently an Imagineer with Walt Disney Imagineering and has formerly worked with companies like Nickelodeon, Paramount Parks, and Cedar Fair Entertainment. He has designed and worked on attractions and experiences for over a dozen theme parks, museums, zoos, cruise ships, hotels and interactive experiences around the world. Richardson is an accomplished artist - his paintings have been exhibited in galleries and shows on three continents. His work has graced the covers of magazines, rock albums, books, billboards and merchandise.
Richardson holds a BA in Photography from San Jose Sate University, and an MFA in Themed Entertainment Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. He has a deep passion for innovation in American education and spent several years as a Bay Area art teacher. He currently holds a position on the Galileo Learning SoCal Board of Advisors.
