Hi all. Andy from Pearlie White here. For reference, this was my favorite interview I have done of all time. Way more fun than the usual “Tell me why/how you started the brand” ones. Separately, the answer is still = No. Still not going to offer Andrew a job here. I think he is doing great at Mothership. Oral hygiene habits though……much improvement needed.

@@andyong4155 im from Malaysia 🇲🇾 and I really love your floss. I used to be able to get them quite easily at Watsons but I think they have stopped restocking your products about a year ago. I have since resorted to buying them from Shopee sellers. Any plans to make your product more accessible in Malaysia. Really find the floss a class above the big name brands

The first meme is on a shortcut method for breakfast and brushing teeth: add toothpaste on hotdog bun and start munching away. Second meme is on ways how three kinds of people use toothpaste, and sadly I am at the bottom picture too :( Which part does Andrew fall in? Blinking eyes**** hoping for response. Third meme is particularly hinted at dentists’ recommendations for toothpaste in a commercial setting. Need watch lots of commercials. Maybe could have brought in Oreo cookie and use the cream to brush as a meme too...

Some forms of humour can cut both ways. PW CEO is taking a risk (whether calculated or not) when agreeing to this interview and taking on that persona on set. Note how Singapore Airlines rejected to be featured in the Crazy Rich Asians movie because it was afraid of potential negative repercussions.

To all other companies thinking of making a video with this style with this Interviewer/Comedian Andrew, DON'T. You just put yourself into a situation of being a fool on camera while he make jokes about your products, company culture and maybe even your face. Your job is to make the company look great. Not make Andrew look 'smart' with his not-so-witty jokes. This kind of jokes requires to be treated with silence. Do not laugh or reply him when he disrespects you and your company. But in the first place you shouldn't agree to the interview but choose a more serious channel to advertise your company. This is a recipe for disaster. I feel bad for the bosses who have been on this interview... just makes them lose face. Its a lose-lose situation. Look at this PW boss. He decided to play along with Andrew but it backfired as people will only judge him for his response and not Andrew. Not every of your customers are smart enough to know you are playing along and in fact a good boss. You sell toothpaste and dental products, not Luxury products. Everyone buys your products including low IQ/EQ people.

Just in case you would like a reply from me. At all times, we are fully aware here at Pearlie White that competitors will make better products than ours. But note that that whenever we make a new product or improve on an existing one, we make sure we do better than our competitors too. It’s the circle of business life and we do our best to keep ahead. And for reference, you should use the oral care products that help you best meet your oral health needs (regardless of brand). Buy/use what works for you.

Publicity is free. The CEO of the company said it himself that as a small company with limited means, they do not get the shelf space in the retail market. Hence he should have capitalised on this particular episode to endear himself to Singaporeans. Instead, his behaviour throughout this video is off putting. Who would want to patronise his product then? If you say he is just putting up a show, let look at past episodes, none of the CEOs are as turn off as this person other than the guy in the cai png episode.
