I cried when I watched this. My mum has dementia and I had to help her get dressed. I love her so much. Jesus getting tortured made me cry and then giving attention because I need to give more attention to my loved ones xx

I appreciate these sermons, given by Sir, Rick Warren. Everything I get to listen to during tuning in to one of his sermons helps me feel better about my self. He approaches each topic of his sermons scholastically, carefully, completely. I always feel that I get my time's worth as I learn by listening to his sermons. I hope to continue hearing these sermons and growing spiritually and developmentally too. Thank you, Sir.

I am really touched by this message of God's love for us. I agree attention is the single most important thing missing in our lives. I am male 70 years of age, I have a family but the single most frustrating and hurting emotion in my life is attention, I am surrounded by people who do not know I seem to exist. It is as if I am invisible.

Amen, this message hit's the spot on loving. It really rings home to me Jesus teaching that without Him we can do nothing. And thinking about the hard things Mary, and Joseph went through just remembering that the LORD had already foretold their situation which I believe allowed Mary to proclaim "Lu 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed." I see all that our LORD does is covered by love! Over all a good message thank you for sharing! And yes that 'blood is thicker than water' we never want to forget, "Ac 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth... "

Lord Jesus, let love rain, like sweet mercy from heaven. Let mercy flow like waves and waves flowing richly from the heart of God. May love arise ... may mercy come forth ... may love and mercy bring forth hearts of compassion. Compassion for the lost, compassion for the thirsty, compassion for the hungry, compassion for the poor, compassion for the homeless, compassion for others. Not in just words or deeds done, but from the depths of the heart seeking to give Glory to God through open arms embracing the needs of others. May we look with the heart of God. May we see with his eyes or mercy and compassion and may we do all things to His Glory. For the river of God is love, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is sweet mercy, may it flow richly through us. For the river of God is compassion, may they see it in our eyes, hear it from our hearts and see it through open arms embracing the needs of others. ---- May we place others before ourselves and love like Jesus.

Oh, how little we understand who & what Love is. Love is, well.... Love creates the tree that provides the material that becomes the Cross upon which Love Himself surrenders His mortal life, that we might discover Eternal Life. This is love.... But did He know when He asked the tree to grow? I like to think so. Afterall, that's what omniscient does, right? Allow me to introduce to you, Jesus Christ, The Most Amazing God in The World. Amen

Greetings Jonathan Poh, you are asking some important questions, yet don't allow the fact of the existence of pain in life to hold you back from thanking and praising Your Creator. Jonathan, like everyone else you have the opportunity to desire to honour the God who reveals Himself in the holy Bible. I encourage you to study the Psalms. In the Psalms you can discover that those who loved God desired fervently to thank Him, even when their lives were filled with pain. You can also resolve to do this more consistently.

Mary didn't have other children (and Pastor Rick explains they are not Mary's biological children). However, I believe the brethren are Jesus's cousins. If you notice in scripture, things are cryptic with so many Mary's there. Gospel of John says Mary's sister is also named Mary (Mary wife of Clopas). She is likely to be her sister-in-law as Jewish custom at the time would still call her sister (and tradition has it that Mary's parents only had one child). Mathew says that one of the Mary's at the cross is the mother of James and Joseph (interestingly, he doesn't mention John or Jesus' mother being present at the cross). Mary (wife of Clopas) is usually understood to be the mother of James (epistle of James) and Joseph and probably Jude (epistle of Jude). Early Church Historian Eusebius (2nd century) puts James and Jude (cousins of Jesus) as the bishops of Jerusalem.

But Jesus DID have an Inheritance to give, not only to his mother but to all who come to him. The Good News. For today a Saviour is born. Who will take away the Sins of the World and unite men to GOD. Life. And a renewed Earth. With Jesus as King. And no more sun. But GOD will be the Light. Honouring our parents. I know is a commandment. I don’t fully agree with Rick here. He has a point of view and sticks to this. He does not talk of the parents who mock their grown children, for believing in Jesus, for having a relationship with God. Rick mentions parents who have not been good parents. But not unbelieving parents. Nor does Rick talk about what a believer is to do, or how to think about that commandment, when parents are alcoholic, and father commits incest. And where no honesty is found. As Ricks point is Taking care of your family as Jesus did his. As a mother I care for my family. And am learning slowly . I like what Rick says about Jesus taking care of the practical needs. That spiritual love is given to each from Above - not achievable by our own effort.
