So I've been out on my Inmotion V8 a handful of times now and I'm feeling pretty confident on it! I just got the new cover and pedals on and I'm ready to rip it up. I saw @EUCSideStreetReny on Instagram and it blew my mind so I set out to ride like he does. This is what that looks like.

16" wheels are so nimble, I started with the inmotion v8 and it was light and so simple to maneuver, I am rocking the XL18 now and its still nimble, a lot harder to jump up heights as its so heavy, and not as nimble but a super fun wheel. S18 on pre-order, can not wait to get it! Ordering the KingSong 780Wh Power Bank/Battery Pack. So jacked, love the video man, keep up the great work. All new riders should be inspired. Lots of people say why go backwards? Its not about being a circus in a path, its just learning how to more control your wheel. Great video man! Thank you.

Holy Sh!t! You got good fast, riding backwards. I've been trying for weeks. I have accomplished a few short distance reverses, ~10'-15', and into forwards, yet not very often. I can carve and wheel dance, slow and fast, on the beat up V8 like your's, yet backwards alludes me. When I tire, from practicing, I'll put on a dog lead, around the lift handle, so the wheel isn't constantly falling. It's how I initially learned the wheel. I only used the leash for about two days of training. Not this time. Sucks. The old V8 is a fun wheel. Drove over to Mt. Washington Park, NH, couple of hours from here, Portland ME. Park was still closed, yet I did get a short trail ride in. Feet hurt as I forgot my boots. Drive there, and back, was fun in my '94 Mazda Miata R, top down. Sunny and starting to get warm. Nice day. Anyway. Still trying to select my next wheel. A lot more expensive, heavier, faster, quicker, etc. Oh, my 12 yo son is red haired too. Peace...Guy

Hey that's not a bad idea with the dog lead, I might give that a try if I don't get the hang of it in the next few practice sessions. It's definitely way harder than anything else I've learned on a wheel so far. Something about all the imputs being reversed really messed with my head.

Riding backwards is no easy feat, you're pretty good for not riding an EUC for that long! The key thing that helped me there was basically realizing that you're starting over again, and swiveling the lower half of my body helped a lot. Good luck and keep up the practice!
@GingerOnWheels
@GingerOnWheels 4 жыл бұрын
Hmmm swiveling the lower half you say... Noted, thanks for the tip! I really wanna practice again today but these shin bruises are REAL.

I've seen the One-wheel boards but that thing looks a lot harder to do tight maneuvers on it. Impressive how quickly you got proficient with it.

Thanks! Definitely still learning but it's coming along, eh? I've tried a one-wheel once. It was pretty trippy, I think I need to do it again.

You should buy like a selfie stick but for go-pro's it will look really cool and improve the angles cuz with the chest mount we can only see the road ahead

I have one, I can use that next time. But that's why I put the camera down to film, FPV footage is only interesting for so long.

Nice vid! I have a question about jumps, on the user manual they tell "dont jump", is it because of damaging the unicycle or is it only for the skill risks of falling?
@GingerOnWheels
@GingerOnWheels 3 жыл бұрын
When you jump it you run the risk of bending the axle and initiating a permanent wobble in the wheel.

I just tried and I can't seem to get it on my 16s. Been trying for about 20min. Idk if I'm not trusting myself to fall backwards but it's not clicking in my head or my feet

Are eucs rough on ones feet?is that something to consider before purchasing?
@GingerOnWheels
@GingerOnWheels 3 жыл бұрын
At first your feet can get a little sore on long rides but most people get comfortable in a couple weeks with regular riding. It just uses odd muscles that you might not otherwise use.

@@dnyce2083 I learned on an in-motion v8 and it was a great learning wheel. I still ride it sometimes. I've heard the Kingsong 16x is a good learner as well. Though, I know of people who have learned on a Sherman 🤷‍♂️. I suggest getting something cheap and used to see if you like riding EUCs first.

Ginger an a Wheel, I am dubious on buying one of these, I loves the scooter too much at the mo anyways, But yeah Ginger on wheels changing the style a bit there, I wonder if Kaboo will ever make a E-Wheel, Off road version, lol, Like that new King Song, Some crazy looking wheels out i know that much, But like i said the scooter is still rocking my boat so too speak, Plus the wheels look too much of an effort like skating, I don't mind a bit of effort but not for mile after mile, lol, Plus that cut off switch would end up taking me down, I would end up ignoring it not thinking, lol, An yeah proper, up into the triple zero numbers, You deserve as many subs as poss, Always kept it honest, Same reason i watch wrong way, Straight up honesty....................

OK, you can blame Wrong Way for my stopping by. It looks like a pretty cool channel you've got here. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing more videos of you riding I am a new rider myself, still learning to ride frontwards. It will be a while before I am ready for backwards. Question: Are you in the Pacific Northwest? It looks like you are surrounded by the same kind of trees that I am. It looks a lot like Western Washington state.

Man I love that guy. Thanks for stopping by! I try hard to compete with the big dogs on here, its always good to see new faces. Learning to ride is definitely a challenge but I have recently found that watching people who are much better than you can be inspiring. Check out @EucSidestreetReny . I felt Inspired by him that I went out and filmed this. Also, yes I'm in Seattle! You around here?

You are right. I also get a lot of inspiration by watching folks who are better than I. At this point in my riding though that is just about everybody. We are almost neighbors, as I am in Centralia, WA. about 20 miles south of Olympia on I-5. I figured that you had to be close. those trees were just shouting "home" to me. :)

Does Inmotion manufacture poor quality products ? I bought a V8F 4 months ago. I rode it normally and even didn't jump kerbs. Then one day after pulling it down a kerb for a while, it shook strongly and the wheel was locked. This happened again next time and it said PLEASE REPAIR. I checked with the app and it displayed "mechanical failure". Why is it so easily malfunctioned ?
@GingerOnWheels
@GingerOnWheels 2 жыл бұрын
No, Inmotion usually has very high quality wheels. This sounds like a motherboard or hall sensor failure. I would contact your dealer, this will be covered under warranty
