Great job on learning the cab rock Joe that is a super fun trick to do. Not only did you learn it but you learnt it on a spine. Any trick on a spine scares me.

Thanks Cole I really appreciate it mate - I'm gonna be doing a drop in tutorial video which will hopefully help - There are some build up steps which can help. Guaranteed, if I had an hour with someone I could have them dropping in as long as they knew how to ride :D You'll get it mate - stay awesome my friend

I filmed some drop-ins the other day because I realized that it is something I never talk about or show. Not sure if I will use the footage for anything but it was fun to think about the process of dropping in on something new.

Another class video Joe 👏, You are excellent at rolling in and the tricks on the mini ramps were on point 👌💯. Well impressed and something for me to aspire too when I can start visiting outside skateparks. Think I will be investing in that safety gear too as it looked great 👍

Thanks mate - really appreciate it :D Transition is a great way to push your commitment and confidence levels. It's not so hard to do but can play with the mind a little. Pads will definitely give you the confidence to go for it! Stay awesome mate

Pads definitely add confidence in bigger transition for me still find it strange wearing them.as I never did growing up, those roll ins are something I need to learn again still scare me at the moment
@joewalkerskateboarding3 жыл бұрын
Yeah same here mate I never wear pads felt good to do so especially on the knees - roll ins are my new favourite 😁 thanks for the comment bud 👍
@AdventuresInSkateboarding3 жыл бұрын
I wear pads every time I go in the bowl or on a mini. Especially on a mini. My flow in a bowl doesn't translate to a mini. I slam to flat a lot! Rolling in to me is all about the transition. Sometimes I don't even think about it but if there is a big lip on the coping or any vert then I get a bit sketchy. You are 💯, once you do the first one then you got it. Until you move ramps. Each ramp has its own approach for me. Wearing pads definitely adds conference. I don't like to wear knee pads with pants. I have to wear shorts. Can't beat a good skate day.
@joewalkerskateboarding3 жыл бұрын
Felt so good to do this mate :D This park is perfect for learning transition - Next time I'm gonna go over the coping on the 4 foot and just cruise around back and fourth like a beast haha! Yeah I need the hotter weather back to get the shorts out and shred - thanks for the comments bud :D Stay rad mate
@ProgressSkateboarding3 жыл бұрын
Hey Joe, I was sent these TXJ pads too and I find them really comfortable. What park is this? It looks seriously good for transition - a good variety of ramps, banks, and that roll in with no coping is perfect. The trick you landed is a 'half cab rock and roll'. The one before it was the 'half cab rock to fakie', or just 'half cab rock'. Even though you don't pop the half cab, it's the same rotation. Also, I'm not sure if I saw correctly, but you may have had your wrist guards on the opposite hands? The plastic guard should be inside of your palm. Great video, mate!

Hi mate, thanks for the comment bud - Yeah they were feeling good - The park's called Pepper Road Park in Leeds :D It's tiny but great for beginners. Thanks for the trick names I'm terrible with transition trick names and you're absolutely right, I had them on backwards haha!! Good job I didn't fall on my hands! Thanks as always for the support my friend
