In this series of short tutorials Neil Parris shows the basics of Wing Chun for the beginner student. In this video we explore the inside and outside gate, two Wing Chun terms used to describe the point of contact between you and the opponent, specifically via the arms. Wing Chun terms such as these can help you identify appropriate techniques for a given situation.

Central Wing Chun Wing Chun is good and effective for self defense and fighting it's the strongest most direct Kung Fu style right

Hi Gerardo, thank you for your comment. I honestly don't think any style can claim to be the strongest as strengths will depend on an individual's interpretation and application of the art. Ultimately the person animates the style, the style does not animate the person. Regarding directness, I would say that Wing Chun can be used in a very direct way, but once again, how direct will be determined by the practitioner's mindset and actions. The best Martial art for a person is the one that you can express yourself in and that fits your personal requirements such as fighting, self protection, health etc... Once we find the art that matches what we need, and who we are, we must train with honesty and intensity so we can earn practical skills.
