This man is the real deal for you tube you don't see this in detail of this art someone breaking down a tecnics and mechanics u only get from a tuition so to see someone doing this way finally on you tube the system won't get watered down by people firstly coming across on you tube by others I've seen previously of demonstrations of technics were others have or just leave out details this guy doesn't hence no watering down he should be proud and keep it up on you tube hopefully others can pursue same direction when demonstrating of the art or it gets lost in transition other wise I am a fellow wing chun martial artist myself and is my core art I'm glad to see someone like this showing the way it should be shown like when learning and developing from in a school of kung fu this way people coming across for the first time go ahh ok got it rather than how very good demo keep it up id like to see more people do way u do on your channel

I was destroyed by two cars on my bike - blessed to be here - just able to start my wing chun again, thank u for ur vids - when i built my dummy i was pondering with my creator one sunny day about what i would use for my leg - i looked up at my favorite maple tree and there she was about 25 ft. up, what a gift - every one said it would break, been a dozen years and is see fu proof - never mind my 250lb brother who destroys most things he kicks.

watching, and you do a great job at explaining the mechanics of all body + arms and shoulder movements. Only thing I see missing is an overlay of feet\foot work in tandem with the taan sau, but none the less, excellent break down of movements and energy use to deflect (and correctly not block) incoming energy. sub'd, thank you.

You're very welcome Charles. I'm afraid you'll need to shop around for an affordable dummy. There are some good deals on ebay occasionally if you know what you're looking for (I've seen around £300 for a decent one). Other online stores will be around £600 up from new for a quality dummy, but it all depends on what you want to spend. Best of luck in your search Charles. I hope your training goes well.

HELP: first i would to thank you for this nice explaning video.2nd i train now for 2 moints the basics on the wooden dummy,i never train whitout a dummy because i cant take lessons in these times with corona... everything lockdown for 1 years now in Belgium.So my question = if i train the basics then after 15 min my muscles hurt on my brest and shoulders... is this normal or do i something wrong sir ? if you want i get some clips on my wife account so maybe you can see what i do wrong,offcourse you going to see a lot of wrong thing but im teaching self on internet so pff its not easy in these times.This is the account : Mags family life . thats me and i hope you get some time to look at my 2 video's . Thank you very much sir.
@CentralWingChun3 жыл бұрын
Hi there and thank you for getting in touch. I appreciate that it's difficult to access proper hands on training in these times and hope things change soon. I watched your video and to be honest it is difficult to assess it properly, however the discomfort you're describing could be the result of tension. When using the wooden dummy your actions need to be smooth and supported by the entire body. When you do a technique it should not just be done with the arms alone. Some techniques should have a body rotation to drive them where some are done with a given footwork etc... My advice would be to also practice the motions away from the dummy so you can work on flowing and staying relaxed. Also, if you are not already doing so, practice the first form as you will discover much about structure and the path of your techniques. There are many videos online and I also have one on my channel if you wish to take a look. You've got a great tool there so for now, just explore it and yourself and above all, enjoy the process. In these unprecedented times its a great way to stay active and practice with some resistance. I wish you the very best with your Wing Chun and hope you can continue your learning with guidance when the restrictions in Belgium are eased. Respect, Neil Parris
