I confess openly to being an armchair admiral :D but I do so enjoy some of these sailing channels and to lose myself to a dream of sailing the seven seas. So far, my favorite boats have been the monohull Sirius 40DS and the catamaran Privilege 585 - but this one is my new contender, for sure. Looks like an extremely comfy vessel :)

Plus they didn't tell you this boat can be beached on low tide it was designed that way then you can do repairs or cleaning with out paying those dry dock fees
@CajunWolffe5 жыл бұрын
To say I'm impressed would be an understatement. Okay, I'm a monohull sailor but am warming up to a catamaran, I love this boat, and it's so well thought out. This is a blue water cruiser in the truest sense, and Robert knows his product! I agree, Jordan, a forward-facing nav station is a must. I'd like to see the sail inventory she carries but can look it up. The only negative that stands out is the fact I don't have enough money to buy one. Another great video guys, Kudos!

@@MrRourk To me, it's not about getting better; they have a unique style being an attractive bright young couple and not some slick yacht salesman with a $300 haircut. Kudos Jordan for your excellent marketing skills. It's their emotional reactions, excitement, the ous, and ahhs as things exciting or unique are discovered. They both have a good knowledge of navel terms and all the various functions of the boats as they rebuilt and sail their own sailboat.

The impressive aspect to me, that you couldn't explore, is how well thought out the mechanical and electrical layouts are. Everything serviceable is easy to reach and easy to see. They really thought out every bit of this design.

One of the best cats for long distance cruising, for sure. There’s a hatch over that bath tub that you can leave open in the rain, the tub catches the water and you can still have interval ventilation regardless of the weather.

Very, very nice boat. So what is the price as it sits right there as is and where it's at? (I realize that this is already owned and a private boat, I want to know what it would cost to get one exactly as depicted. The "book value" as it were.) I heard what you said but still I don't get what's "weird" about it? Except that if by "weird" you mean way nicer features than most of its peer boats.

@joeblow19424 жыл бұрын
It would have been interesting to hear the builders take on why they combined the cleat to the chainplate. No redundancy there, though.😉
@brimstone334 жыл бұрын
My guess is that because it's the strongest point amidship, it's the perfect place for a long drogue bridle. Trailing a drogue at that point should produce less motion than trailing from the stern. Also where you'd want it if you had to steer with a drogue. And it eliminates a deck perforation (all boats are gonna leak through the deck eventually so the fewer holes the better), gives you something solid to hang on to when handling spring lines, and makes the perfect spot to do a temporary one-line tie up such as at a fuel dock. With that little step indentation you can stand on the midship line to pull the boat towards you at the dock using your weight, grab hold of a shroud and hop right on relatively safely.

I was actually disappointed in this cat. I found there was a lack of head height, I'm 6'1" and I couldn't stand in front of the kitchen sink with out tilting my head 45 degrees. There was also a lack of head room in the master shower. The idea that you have to step out of the safety of the cockpit to handle the lines and winches is a miss for me . Also I found there were too many angles on deck with too many trip hazards.

I however would still have the disel/ blue generator for emergenices!!!! (blue as in VW has the disel blue system for cleaner operation and better lower fuel consumption. The entire point I would sum up to make is a vessel that would be dynamically kitted to live off grid!
