Seven is more often pronounced なな (this avoids confusion with 四 being pronounced as し) and nine is usually pronounced きゅう。

It is! Depends on your preference, you can use nana or shichi. But for certain numbers like 70, 700 and 7000, you would always use nana juu, nana hyaku and nana sen respectively! Same for 4 (shi/yon) where yon is used for 40, 400 and 4000, as is with the number 9 (ku/kyuu) where kyuu is used for 90, 900 and 9000. Reference: Japanese from Zero!

Would recommend using よん (yon) instead of し (shi) as shi is also the word for death 死 so yon is preferred. Also I recommend using なな (nana) instead of しち (shichi) as it is too similar to shi and ichi.

Baltistan is the mountain range area located in Pakistan nearly Tibet (china) I feel proud that our ancestors came here from Japan 😂 Thank you for sharing information. Balti numbers 1-10 1.. ichik 2.. niis 3... som 4... jee .
