@@kzbr2264 A short description: Namibia is peaceful; there is no fighting between different ethnic groups. Very few people are racist. There is no discrimination. Namibia is a very dry country, and we had suffered a terrible drought for the past 3 - 4 years (we are in 2020 now), and many parts have received good rain since January 20200 until end February 2020. Most of the western parts still suffer severe drought, some farms having had the last proper rain in 2013. The unemployment is high and so is the cost of living. Next week, 21.3.2020, Namibia will celebrate 30 years of independence from South African mandate rule.

@@marvina.3923He's not saying that. He's saying the culture is cool. Of course the history of what German officials did in Namibia is terrible and their actions were evil to say least, but the culture of the modern day descendants is very cool and special, especially because Germany as an empire didn't spread their language as much as the English or Dutch and other european empires did. German settlers weren't as common as other European settlers so the fact that German language still exists in Africa is pretty cool considering how the German empire didn't make much attempt to build strong connections with local populations outside of using Askari soldiers as a police and soldier force of their East African holdings so the German language and cultural aspects in Namibia surviving when German influence in Africa died out almost as quickly as it began is pretty cool.

Most Whites In Namibia Are Afrikaners, Not Germans; I'd Like To See More About That!!!

They are Dutch speakers because under apartheid Dutch was the first language and many white settlers integrated to the Dutch speaking community. But not all Afrikaans are originally Dutch many where of German descent

At least that woman was honest about the race situation there. It's nice to see some candid sharing. And what's with the guy at the end being kinda rude. I wonder if he would've acted that way if the female was interviewing.

I am from Namibia. There is not much racism here. We were always taught that no matter what colour you are, you are just equal to the next person. It's usually very peaceful and everyone likes to stay on their own and mind their own business.
