And somewhat of a cultural tip, pancakes in Germany are a lot more like crepes. Very thin and a lot of the time, as you see in this video, they're eaten as a meal with more savory ingredients like meats, cheeses, vegetables and often the batter is even seasoned with different herbs. Thick Pancakes with maple syrup are not typical over there but the German variety is very delicious! Also, ich würde gern mal sehen wie man Schnitzel macht ! Oder wenn das zu einfach ist, käsespätzle!

Meine Mutter war irischer Herkunft, ist mit ihrer Familie in einer deutsch-amerikanischen Siedlung im Bundesstaat Michigan aufgewachsen. Ihr Sauerbraten mit Klöße war das Beste, was ich je geschmeckt habe. Meine Frau, die slowakischer Herkunft war, war derselben Meinung. Ich würde sehr gern euer Sauerbraten-Rezept lernen.

Wow. Those really are German. Pops made those for us kids all the time. We always had 'em with applesauce, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. Mom couldn't say "pfannekuchen" so we just called 'em German pancakes. That's cool to know his recipe really was a German hand-me-down. Ähh, Schnitzel, Knödel, Spätzle und sonst noch was von euch selbst gemacht, und was mir noch einfällt, ein fränkisches Essen Blaue Zipfel! Den hab ich letzten Monat in einem Biergarten in Würzburg gegessen, war richtig geil und hab ihn dann in den Ferien von nem Video nachgekocht mit n paar Sachen wie Karotten, Bratwürste oder so aber wars ned wie was ich schon gegessen hatte...

I think I'll answer that. The recipe is very simple. All you need is flour, milk or mineral water (fizzy), 3 eggs and a pinch of salt if you like. All the ingredients are mixed together in a bowl until the dough bubbles. How you mix it up is up to you. I usually do it with a whisk though. Next you need a large pan and butter or oil. Heat a little butter or oil in a pan. Using a ladle, pour some dough into the pan and swirl the pan to spread the dough evenly. Bake the bottom side until the dough is no longer liquid on the top and the edges turn golden. Flip the pancake and finish baking. Work the rest of the dough in the same way, adding a little more butter or oil to the pan for each pancake.

das ist doch korrekt. Sie sagt gehen wir mal rein, andersrum wäre es rausgehen. Es gibt auch hineingehen, herausgehen, hineinkommen und herauskommen auch.

Halo Cari! Ich möchte gern wissen wie benutzt man das Wort "halt" und was bedeutet es. Ich kenne nur eine Bedeutung und dass ist wie "stopp". Aber, hier in dieses video hat Klaus dieses Wort sehr oft benutzt, es scheint mir wie ein Füllwort. Z.B. er hat gesagt "Eier halt in den Pott", "Und Pfannekuchen schafft man halt in dieser Zeit", "Pfannekuchen ist auch ein super schnelles Gericht und ich find‘ das halt toll". Es war ein bisschen verwirrend und ich hab kein Ahnung was es bedeutet! :) Vielen Dank!
