For people who ask or want to know why this is ULTRA dangerous, here is your answer: Besides from Connections etc 1-They do use only a single rod. For redundancy and safety as well as MOST importantly to Lower the resistance, you need 3 or 4 rods connected with each other. Also Dry soil =Higher resistance Wet=Less resistance.. 2-Not tested with earth resistance meter means it is a Good as a stake in ground which may not work at all!...You place 3 rods, connect resistance meter to them and test to see if it reads the guideline ohm/resistance. Else, this is just silly rod in the ground when someone is zapped and turned charcoal black..

My mind and intuition whispers that this type of work requires a technically equipped professional who does the job. Reading, watching and educating yourself about earthing regulations in an hour will tell you so.

How confident would you be going ahead & installing an earth rod? How do you know exactly where it can be installed? Surely asking National Grid to carry out a cat scan is the only way to be safe & confirm it’s an appropriate place for a rod to be installed?

4:12 mistake !: don't cut and use longer copper wire to increase the touching surface between wire anr the copper rod.

Misleading video, one rod is definitely not meeting the standards, minimum 2. When i started watching this video, i would expect them to measure the earth resistance using the earth resistance meter, if it meets 10 ohms and below, it is acceptable, of course the best is 5 ohms and below, the lower the better. If it doesn't meet, what is the next course of actions? This video doesn't show all these steps and recommendations such as how to improve the resistance by using GEM, copper mat and etc. One more thing, the ground wire clamping looks so flimsy, if someone dig the soil and accidentally pull the wire, the ground wire is slip through the grip. It is waste of time watching this.
