For those who don't understand what back/front rounded/unrounded mean, let me briefly explain again. Back/Front is the tongue position inside the mouth when voicing a vowel. Rounded and Unrounded are the shape of the lips we make for the vowels. The categorize vowel harmony according those aspects. Then we select the appropriate suffix ending to a word according to the last vowel of the word. If the last vowel of a word ends with a back vowel, we select an ending that also has a back vowel and vice versa. When a suffix has 4 variations, we also put into account the rounded unrounded feature for the appropriate suffix ending. Feel free to ask me any other questions if you have ;)

Merhaba hocam! I have one question. Adjectives such as"nazik", if I want to say that I am polite how will I say it in Turkish, "nazikim" or naziğim"? Thank you.
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk4 жыл бұрын
Merhaba Fiza! Yes, we add the "Present To Be Person Suffix" which is "-im" right after the Adjective. The word "Nazik" is effected by "Consonant Assimilation" so we have to change the "K" to the "Ğ" letter. We would say "Naziğim". Because there are only a number of letters that are used in Consonant Assimilation, simply memorize those letters and their assimilation. Don't forget that Proper Nouns like person/place/corporation/etc. names are not effected by Consonant Assimilation. You're doing great ;)

@LearnTurkishwithGokberk3 жыл бұрын
"Anlatmak" and "anlamak" are two different verbs. "Anlat+ın" means (please) tell , a polite order. "Anla+dın" means "you understood". So "anlat" and "anla" are two different verbs.
