hi just another tip instead of making the folder's blending a pass through you can set it to color dodge which in my preference is much easier to do than adjusting it by layer, and then you could just adjust the blur and the opacity and it would look like just the real thing

Thanks Henrick! I use the latest version of Adobe Photoshop CC, currently in the CC 2020 version. But everything that I teach over this channel can be done using any CC version all the way back to 2015.

Thank you for your great channel. Could you have a career in architectural visualisation without any 3d software knowledge. I really love comping in Photoshop and have a background in illustration but I don't want to learn the ins and outs (steep learning curve) of 3d studio max or Maya. I would appreciate any advice.
@LearnUpstairs5 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul! You definitely could! But I'm thinking not focused on realistic visualization. You could be part of an architecture firm and be the image guy focusing on a iconic style. Or create an archviz firm that has a unique style. There are plenty of arch firms that have their own style, the only one I can think of right now is Fala Atelier for example. They are 100% into collage, but nothing holds you from combining your own techniques. I hope that helps you in some way 😁

Way too fast.. doesn't explain the shortcuts or process. Its a cool video to watch but not learn from.
@LearnUpstairs5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jennifer, thanks for the feedback! I try to find the balance between a fun video to watch and a detailed full course. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, we're still on youtube and long tedious videos aren't recommended to people and aren't watched. That's why I also offer, on another platform, a course on post-production. I hope you understand, but I'll make sure to take your comment into account for future videos!

Isnt it easyer to just do realistic render with raytracing
@LearnUpstairs10 ай бұрын
Check the video date. This is still a relevant skill to know in Photoshop, but it was way more important when RT wasn't around and when renders took an insane amount of time
@dreadpirates_5 жыл бұрын
This is a great video but honestly, if anyone is still doing THIS MUCH work in photoshop for ONE single image; you are wasting your time and project budget on a VERY outdated workflow .... meaning please find better initial rendering / output software .... your company with thank you ( not directed to OU Graphics, im sure you guys agree, just in general).
@LearnUpstairs5 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul! I feel you. Can definetly understand why you think this way. But the main purpose of the video is to teach base skills. As I said in the video the best result will come from a preliminary render with lighting and in photoshop you'd enhance it, make it more dramatic. Also, not all architects need to work in this way on getting their visuals done in the shortest amount of time so that the project can be approved by the client, then built and then cashed in asap. I guess some of us see this profession more artistically than others. Anyways I totally get what you said. And respect your point of view. Thanks for your feedback 😁
