It took me a while to realize this but after he asks really in response to her being Korean, she says thank you in Korean - which is why there's no English translation for that part 😂

2:40 So, "dzô" means "cheers"? or is slang for "cheers"? (I was comparing the VN subtitles with the English ̣(YT) subtitles...) I haven't seen "dzô" anywhere else, for what it's worth.
@LearnVietnameseWithSVFF
@LearnVietnameseWithSVFF 5 жыл бұрын
yes that's right. "dzô" is a word for cheers"

number 17. the correct answer from Mr. Phi said should be: xin lỗi, anh không hiểu tiếng Chung. Because Miss Thương spoke Chinese.

@@AnNguyen-bk4lt An, it's a matter of culture. In Vietnam or China this is no big deal. In Europe considered as gross. Same thing for food: in most Asian countries, make a lot of noise while eating sou or noodles is OK, in Europe gross to poorly educated. Just showing a point of view, not judging

This is too fast. You introduce the word without context. Then speak far too fast. We have to continually stop the video. Please slow down and give some English explanation

Thanks for your feeedback, you can also turn on English for better understanding!

I use English subtitles but again it’s still too fast and the subtitles appear over your text.

I think so but ideally we need to watch it over and over in order to learn. This is great, each time to focus on 10 words.

You should start the classes with SVFF on the tones first and know how to read correctly then your speech understanding skills will improve. Otherwise you have 2 ways: Replay or run at slower speed. They talk as Vietnamese talk. I encourage you to study with SVFF. Their teachers are very good and you will great progress. Start wit a 30 mn free lesson. That's how I started. I tried to learn on my own. I started with Nort dialect alone and then met my future wife from South so I needed to switch to South dialect. SVFF is mostly doing Southern dialect. I still keep in mind the Northern way of talking. I will adapt to both little by little.
