This and our entire program is designed for folx who are entry level. And yeah I ignore the yoe because it is typically just made up. They can reject your application if you are not a good fit, but don't take yourself out the game!

Hi Leon, I meant to put this in standup today, but would you happen to have advice for creating a premium full-stack app for a Software Engineering role at a gaming company's IT Support sector? In specific, I'm wondering if it would be weird (or borderline illegal) to make a fan-project that uses their game's assets and characters to show my passion for the company. I could also go the route of creating a full-stack web app that is more IT-support focused to show my expertise there, which is the sector that the role is based in. as long as you arent selling anything, you should be able to make any fan project you want.

I AM NOT A LAWYER! If you are using someones IP and it doesn't fall under fair use, you are at risk and may even be a non starter when it comes to getting hired. Is there a way to build your project that supports the community, but does not use any of their IP? If not, I would avoid. Also, if it is Nintendo just run away from this idea.
