Thanks for sharing Freya and Belya’s life! They are so cute and so well trained. I’ve been watching since Freya was a little puppy. And we’re bringing our first Aussie puppy home tomorrow!

My golden Maggie just turned 4 months today. We got her as a Christmas gift this past Christmas. I have previously had a golden puppy Madeline at 8 weeks and adopted a golden/Irish setter George at about 2 yrs old. Both have crossed over the 🌈 bridge at age 12 & 13. Each life stage has had its own challenges. It’s been a rough one with Maggie since we still can take her out on walks due to needing her second set of Parvo vaccines. Keeping her engaged in toys and exhausting all that puppy energy has been a challenge. I’ve purchased so many enrichment toys to keep her busy. Even with all my prior experience having goldens I can definitely benefit from dog training techniques so thank you so much for your videos. “OFF” is definitely being processed as a suggestion and not a command at the moment 😅. Counter 🏄♀️ also has me on edge especially after realizing how fast she is growing. Looking forward to more videos. Just a tip in the future since you have two dogs. A y-type leash helped me walk both my goldens pretty easily.

You ever tried swap backs? So she wants to go in one direction, if she pulls you just fully change direction for a bit. Keep doing it, until she's kinda confused so looks for you for direction. I had luck with that with am English spaniel (really bad pullers) and wondering if I can do it with my golden.

Large breed puppies are SO different. Everything you describe regarding Beyla being different totally checks. She'll be a puppy for almost 2 years, too!

Hi Marissa! Firstly, I wanna start by saying i’m a newer watcher to your’s and the dogs channel but watching your videos has made me wanna adopt an aussie of my own! Problem Is I do work from 7am-3/4 or some days 8am-5. I just watched your video on how you would schedule things from a 9-5 but would you mind giving me some tricks on my personal schedule? Currently I do live with my grandma but am moving into my own space in september. Because I’m the one wanting a new puppy I don’t wanna involve her too heavily as i don’t want her to feel solely responsible. I only have a 30 minute lunch and the drive is 20 minutes each way. How would you suggest I balance my time to ensure puppy gets taken out every 2-3 hours and and to reinforce good crate training/potty training tips at the same time? Again love you all and take care!
@flashesadventuresdaybyday8346 Жыл бұрын
I would 100 percent crate train. When you get your puppy you may want to have someone like a dog sitter in mind so that if you can't take your puppy out you have someone who can do it for you. Also if you do choose a dog watcher's dog sitter be careful who you choose there's lots that neglect dogs and take advantage of you

I've been watching your videos since Freya's pupdates and I have my own pup now (he's six months as well (!!) and a golden retriever/labrador retriever rescue mix). Before I even rescued him, your videos helped me figure out how to structure his day, teach obedience, and socialize him properly (so thank you!). I have a future question for you: do you ever find you get tired from taking the pups out on walks and activities for multiple hours everyday. I love hanging out with my pup but sometimes with work, school (I'm doing my Masters at the moment), and raising him on my own, I have days where I just don't feel like it! Do you ever experience that (especially with multiple dogs) and, if so, how do you manage?

Beyla is adorable! Also where is that wall bike rack from?

It’s a Stasdock rack. It’s pretty pricey but SO worth it!!!

All the breeders I e researched for a puppy have a contract I have to sign that says I will spay in a year. Did your not say this or if so how do you extend it?
@FreyaAndBeylaКүн бұрын
Mine did not have this, but if it did I would have discussions on WHY they're requiring it. sometimes it's so that you won't breed with them because they'll often charge a fee if you're looking to breed. but you can offer to sign an additional document saying you won't breed but that you will be waiting to spay until they are older and have completed 1 heat cycle for proper growth/development.

Since we first bought a puppy home every night she'll go and sleep on the bed instead of the crate because she doesn't like the crate even though we've been training her to get used to the grocery store doesn't like it so we never took out the crate for the first couple days she only ever really goes in the crate if we're not going to be home all day and then she ends up like pooping and peeing in a cream and we have to give her a bath when you get home it's really bad but so we just let her sleep on the bed at night and she's only 3 months and she knows pretty much every trick in the book she's like the smartest puppy we've ever seen and she is a really fast learner

No Hate but the harness you are using restricts the dogs movement, I use to use that type of harness till I noticed it stop flash from being able to move properly. Target has amazing harnesses thsys what I have now

How bad and how much does she shed?
@FreyaAndBeyla Жыл бұрын
She sheds A LOT. Goldens are terrible with this. So they need constant brushing every day and professionally groomed frequently.
