Leather Belt Burnishing Vice - Modification

Great vid!! I just made me one these little helpers, for burnishing.. made out of 80 year old hardwood bed slats. Used 1/4" - 20 thread bolt and got couple black hard plastic knobs off of Amazon. Brass threads through out. Mounted it on 4"x4" board. Works great!! I had some scrap veg tan, 2-3oz, I moistened and molded around top edge.. works amazingly. And it's not China made. Lol. Sir, please excuse this old LEATHER SMITH, I made my own, 2x3 or 4x5ft.long and one 8ft long, since I do only custom I have made belts 7 1l2ft long, cartage bolts, washers, and large wing nuts, cover with leather just like U did. Also works GREAT when buck stitching and lacing. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

Hello. Thanks for your comment. Yes, you can make your own clamps in whatever length you like. My only worry is: As humans are getting 'Bigger', does that mean we will have to grow bigger cows to be able to get long enough lengths of leather to make belts in the future?

@@HobbyBloxs Yes, you could B right, but since I ONLY DO CUSTOM LEATHER CRAFT & AND TEACH LEATHER CRAFT I basically do what my customers and I have figured out at the sit down. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
