Very interesting video, but I would love to see more details on how the 'stamps' were made an how easy they were to make or purchase from the individual/merchant that sells them! Thanks sooo much for taking all the time/effort to share this video with us!

Thanks for the comment, I made this before I had my own 3D printer, a friend printed these stamps for me. They are pretty easy to make once you have a 3D printer or you could find a makerspace that has one and use it to print your stamps or a 3D printing service. I’ll have to make a more in-depth video on how to make the stamps... I’ll also try and figure out a way to make stamps without the need for a 3D printer. Thanks again for the comment and the kind words 😁👍

This is flipping awesome! great video mate - i need to make one of them presses -the way i was doing it ruined a lot of leather

small pieces of steel plate would work better than timber under the screw in your press and can be had quite cheaply on ebay etc

Your absolutely right. And I did just that. I found a piece of scrap metal and cut I down to size. The force that screw exerts is pretty crazy and can quite easily split the piece of wood I used in the video.

Very impressive and well done! Yet one more reason why I need a 3D printer. Good thinking with the PVC backer board; for sure I would have missed that step the first time through.

Hello, The stamps in the video were 3D printed by a friend of mine, but I now have my own 3D printer. I plan on making a video “how to make 3D printed leather stamps” but until then I’m happy to print you some stamps. You can send me an email HeyPatch@gmail.com

Do you know what your friend printed the stamps out in?

Hey Thomas Kruth sorry i didn't reply sooner. the stamps were printed in ABS. hope that helps. a channel called "lets make something together" has a leather stamping video tutorial. His video is far better than this one. go check it out. here is the URL to the video, kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3y6nZWEq7aKnac Happy Making -patch-
