after watching your video and a french video I bought the Jerome David's titanium one from RM leather. snakewood handle. I liked the blade. I do occasionally leather works, but like good tools

I use 5mm pricking irons to make my stitch line and 1.0 tiger thread, what size diamond awl blade should I use? Any help greatly appreciated.

Likely something larger than a dagger but smaller than a broadsword 😉. In all seriousness, probably the largest you can find as that's a huge stitch.

If one was to make just wallets and wanted to buy only 1 top quality awl (price not a factor has I am after the tool quality) which would you recommend... the Japan 6T or the one from Jerome David? I watched both of your videos and both awls look awesome although would really like the recommendation of a true leathercraft person.

I think it is! :D Blanchard still make awls and awl blades of a longer length, but as long as the blade protrudes around an inch, you should be fine.
