I feel bad for Leatherman...you make a really great double sided file and people use it as a pry tool. I have really nice tools and if I see someone misusing a tool of mine, I will tell them and if they continue to do it, they will be banned from using my tools. I still appreciate the review though.

Thanks for the 10 month review. I have only had mine for a couple of weeks. The refurbishing program you mentioned is great, I had no idea they would do that. At 14:16 you indicate the Charge won't fit in the case with the pocket clip attached. They must have changed the case up at some point. I carry mine with the pocket clip and bit kit, no problem. Plus mine has two elastic loops on the outside. One of the loops on the outside of the case is designed for the bit extender (seems to be the one you are missing). It does a great job of holding it securely. I found the other loop holds a Streamlight Microstream flashlight perfectly. I wonder if Leatherman would exchange the case for you. Where did you find the other lanyard ring you are using?
@chanceb29795 жыл бұрын
Thanks, the 2nd lanyard ring is slightly hidden. It’s in between the scissors and handle grip, kind of looks like a spacer packed in.
@ChadSmithakaCCG5 жыл бұрын
@@chanceb2979 My apologies. I was hoping to find out where you purchased the 2nd lanyard ring. Mine came with the one that goes in the same place as the pocket clip. But I like the idea of having both the pocket clip and lanyard ring.

"SEATBELT CUTTER"?!? It may work for cutting those (I've never had to cut a seat belt or cargo strap, so I wouldn't know) but, it is actually a Gut Hook for peeling critters.

Also a nice package opener for those of us more familiar with Amazon. Tough to sharpen though.

Why on earth does everyone mention how one material gets scratched over the other? It’s a tool get over it. Adjust ya skirt and use it. If the handles get scratched so what.

I thought that was a fish hook. You should get a griffin tool or other pry tool with a pocket clip for prying.

Keep using it. But if you want to speed up that process, loosen the hinge screws ever so slightly or I’ve heard people using gun oil.

Do you have the black oxide version?
@mrhyde66004 жыл бұрын
@@user-md3is4dq2d I wouldn’t get them, personally. Mainly because the black scratches off and can look quite rough easily. Upsets my OCD. But it’s personal preference. :)

Good review and perspectiv. I still think you need to upgrade to a Surge!
@nhraandnascarfanatic59073 жыл бұрын
I agree, and I chose the same route… the surge in my opinion trumps both this and the wave in all aspects, at a cheaper price STILL than that of the charge

@@nhraandnascarfanatic5907 thanks for that. I really like the scissors being on the outside, like my Wingman, but wasn't sure about carrying the extra weight and bulk. I currectly use the sheath on my Wingman but like the pocket clip too.
@Quicksilver_Cookie Жыл бұрын
@@nhraandnascarfanatic5907 Well, apart from one - Surge is massive, and heavy. Surge's size makes it almost pointless in many situations people use it for because you probably have a toolbox with you anyway. It's a nice heavy duty tool, but it often crosses into a territory where proper tools should be used. Wave and charge are comfortable to carry in a pocket. And that's a big aspect for many people when considering a multi-tool purchase.
