Because they don’t like to nominate huge blockbusters and cgi movies, they are mostly into artistic movies but they should have known how planet of the apes, this trilogy was an exception, it ain’t like them fake ass cinema like DCU, MCU, Fast and furious, Star Wars, JP and JW and many more

One interesting thing I notice about this scene, is that when Donkey is told to do something by the humans, he always hesitates. But when Caesar yelled "Leave him!" He instantly obeyed. Could be a subtle foreshadowing of where his true loyalties lie.

Caesar is such a badass character. He refuses to surrender to the primal nature of his world no matter what he goes through. He refuses to use dominance or displays of strength as a leader. Instead, he uses the compassion and honor that Will taught him.

He does use dominance and strength when he knows it's absolutely needed. Which is even more respectable

He actually uses dominance quite a lot but in a subtle way both dawn and war. When koba or snow are speaking aggressively toward him he stands up tall while glaring at them in an act of dominance and they both shut the fuck up koba even lowers himself and presents his hand

Probably because movies like Interstellar, and Blade Runner 2049 came out in their respective years. It was pretty difficult when you have two or more movies with such amazing VFX, and 2014 and 2017 were two of those years.

The sad thing about this, the orangutan was a kid. Ceasar knew it was male, he would know since they're his people. Male orangutans don't grow their side flaps until they fully mature like Maurice. It wasnt just him not standing by watching one of his own get whipped(of course it was also that too), he was speaking out because he would not let a child get tortured
