Yay to our first episode! Today we’re starting with the wonderful Delina. (make sure to follow her on IG @delinamedhin !!!) She’s a very talented makeup artist that celebrate beauty with all her heart.
She doesn’t use makeup as a way to change your features. But just to enhance them. Today we wanted to share our video, to learn from each other how depending on our skin tone, a classic red lips look will differ. What kind of blush or red lipstick will fit us better.
One thing we both agreed on is the copper touch in the eyes ! Best match ever for a bold lip.

I agree that they're both gorgeous, but we can lift each other up without tearing other women down. While things like fake lashes and extreme contouring might not be everyone's cup of tea, some women enjoy those things and you shouldn't look down on them for what they enjoy and what makes them feel beautiful.

And Delina is just amazing! i can't believe i never knew of her before! She has the exact same skin tone as me and I loved how she talked about pigmentation problems with her skintone especially after acne because I have that issue too! But its so hard to find people out there on social that do makeup like her and on her skintone like hers. See, this series is brilliant, because what's been almost the definition of "it-girl" and "cool-girl" beauty has almost become synonomous to "Cool, French girl" and the like, which is really just Euro-centric beauty standards worded differently, which truly is gorgeous, but it is just as gorgeous as every unique type of beauty held by women of color as well, and Violette has always recognized that and this series further proves it! Not only is this video sooo stunning to watch, it's helpful and the series looks diverse and I think Violette is gonna carve a pavement in this area!!

You both look beautiful in your looks! Just wanted to chime in that I craved carbs when I was pregnant was well. It was the only food that helped control my nausea and settle my stomach. Unfortunately, vegetables just upset my stomach. Luckily, I also craved sour, citrus fruits or stone fruits like nectarines and peaches so I can get some better nourishment besides just my prenatal vitamins. Anyways... all that carb loading seemed to pass onto my daughter. Her favorite meal consists of pasta! haha Congratulations on your pregnancy and upcoming journey into motherhood. Hi Violette - This was fabulous. Delina is so lovely. I feel like ive just made a new friend. Beautiful aesthetics from both yourself and Delina. So inspiring. Also, i lost approx. 30- 40% of my hair due to iron anaemia deficiency, a condition called menorrhagia (extremely heavy blood loss each month) and hormonal imbalance. I drink hydrolised beef gelatin in the evening and aloe vera juice in the morning (which is ideal for gut health and hair). I have found in time - my hair feels very thick where the new growth is emerging. Much love from Australia xx

Do happy for this series! I have a question. I love the idea of red, but I have quite thin lips with upper lip much smaller than the bottom. I feel like I look funny with red lips and that it enhances the worst part of my features. How to cope with this problem?

Generally I use the same one Delina’s using (the “volume effect” one), but I just bought the green one (the “false lashes effect” or something like that), haven’t tried that yet but I have very high hopes for that one too.
