My husband and I lived in AK for 4 years, and I THOUGHT I was excited when it was finally time to move back to the Lover 48. But it didn't take long until we both realized how much we missed living in AK. Now, our goal is to get back up there as soon as possible to raise our family. There's just something so unique and special about AK!

We live in Ontario. Canada, it's super cold and snowy here as well, usually. (Not so much this Winter), but when we go away and come back, we are always so excited to be home! I think it's because we are so used to life here, and so there is no place like home. :)

I fly from Melbourne Australia every 2 yrs and spend 6 to 8 weeks in Ak, sometimes around FB and sometimes around the Homer area. The people, the scenery, the animals and the weather makes me come back, Alaska is as different to anywhere in the world as Australia is. I get the best of both worlds!

I love your videos and Alaska is super cool to visit, however I’d never ever live there 😂. For a multitude of reasons. But I’m glad you guys found somewhere you love 💗. One other thing I wanted to say was I think the support these kiddos get is so awesome. I grew up with the most supportive parents I could ever ask for, my mom never missed a game and I played 3/4 sports most of my life. My sister was a great athlete as well and my parents put us first year in and year out. It was huge for our development. I’m so thankful 🙏 seems to me your kids are also getting all those benefits and they’ll make great adults!! Well done 👍

What you described about coming back home to Alaska from the bigger city is the exact feeling I had after covid and all the quarantines. During quarantine time the streets were empty, buses could take only a certain amount of people, shops had much less customers and as much as it was frightening it got comfortable and I prefered the quietness. After everything got back to normal I get so much anxiety around people, everything is too loud, too noisy, too many people, cars, everything. It's just too much. I wish I could live in a place like you, among the trees, in quiet... I get a glimpse of it through your channel, so thank you for that and all the best to you and your family.

Your story about visiting the lower forty eight is so true I have tried moving outside several times and have come back every time, just something about being in a place that just feels so comfortable and not so congested. I even love to visit Anchorage but after a couple of days it is like I need to get home to Kenai, don't get me wrong the winter gets old not being a cold weather outdoorsman. I do love Alaska and the freedom we have here.

Excellent job Evelyn!!! Were all so proud of you😊 I'm sure your Mom loved the gymnastic competition and watching her grand daughter compete. Disney is always fun for adults, and kids. So sorry the rest of your family didn't get to go. Nice surprise at home with baby moose watching in the window with mama moose behind. I hear you on not having the wildlife that close to your home. In Oklahoma, I worry about the cougar (had one on our property), and bear. The other wildlife come, and go (bobcat, coyote, deer, owl, skunk, porcupine, possum, and snake). Welcome back home❤

I moved from Atascadero California small tiny little country town. Lived and grew up on a ranch my grandparents built from the ground up. Amazing childhood but decided I was gonna leave and move to Palmer Alaska at age 17. So I drove from California to Alaska with my grandmother and have been here ever since. I am 39 now living in Wasilla Alaska. If I could go hoke for a month a few times I a year I would be happy as all my family is back home. What keeps me coming back to Alaska is this is where I become an adult. I love many things about Alaska that we just didn't have back home. It's 50/50 for me.

I live in Florida and love it and I did visit Alaska this past summer fortunately we were there during the hottest week thank goodness because there is no way I would ever live with all that snow and cold. We are originally from Michigan and that was enough snow and cold so the best decision we made was moving south to Florida and have not regretted our decision one bit. I don’t know how you all tolerate that terrible weather. Wishing you the best.
