“Leaving Nigeria for the UK was a Huge Mistake” is a video where i shamelessly open up about the new realities i and some of my fellow Nigerians face. A lot of us were directly or indirectly compelled to run away from our home country with our nuclear family’s to begin life afresh at a lower standard with lots of unfamiliar struggles. I share my honest thoughts and experience and I’m happy to read your opinions in the comment section below
.
.
#lifeinuk #lifeinukvlog #livingintheuk #boymom #motherhood
#lifeabroad #livingabroad #lifeinuk #livingintheuk #uk #england #londonliving
.
Often times we say our children are the reason we migrated to the West. But the question is: do they gain more than they lose from our actions? Are we saving them or doing the opposite? #mrsranciz #youtubers #nigeria
.
Also, I’d like to issue a disclaimer: There is absolutely nothing wrong with sane gender marriages/relationships. I am only speaking from an African stand point as it is something frowned against in Africa and it’s totally against our culture

I appreciate your sincerity. Mabel, I love you dearly. I watch you physically drain since coming to the UK and my heart breaks. I can only imagine the mental stress. I wish you all the best ❤. This is neither a compliment nor an insult, just sincere thoughts. You're amazingly intelligent, and someone like you wilp certainly contribute a lot towards nation building in the future. All the best 🫂 Don't blame yourself. No one understands the mirage of abroad until the enter. In that same Nigeria, people are making it. The opportunities are coded. We need to do something to occupy Nigeria, and spread the opportunities.

Awww😍😍😍 It’s been ages. How have you been? Thanks for stopping by today 😊 In all honesty, I didn’t leave Nigeria cos I wasn’t making it. I left because I had serious anxiety and fear and I sincerely feel at peace in the UK. However, my journey has made me appreciate home more and it saddens my heart how terrible the situation is back home. Nigeria in 2023 is a nightmare and this breaks me every single day. To be fair, the UK has been good to me just that the struggles are a bit unfamiliar, that’s all. Another thing that breaks my heart is seeing almost everyone I know relocate from Naija. It doesn’t feel good at all. I love you too and I’ve definitely missed you on here. Be safe❤️

That video got me emotional seriously.. It touched me a lot.. I can relate when You said > I'm African and Proud.. It's Been 4 years now I left my Country for another Country, Another continent, Another Culture. It has not been easy to cope. My body is here, but My mind, soul are back home in Africa.. Leaving abroad is not as easy as people which stayed in Africa think. From my Experience I think is kind of Tiring and frustrating sometimes. First, I am stranger so I feel like I have to Make a lot of effort to be accepted by The people from here.. I have to work harder, work twice than anyone else to be spotted.. Its Tiring... At the end of the day there is no place like home. I was even happier when I was dwelling in Africa than Now. But Its fine. God knows better, I see what I am going through like an experience. And what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I just pray our conditions in Africa improve. But How will the conditions improve if we are all leaving for another places? We are the ones that are going to change things, to make things change. We need take our responsabilities..

Their wealth doesn't stem from external sources but rather from the enrichment of their culture and identity through knowledge and information, ultimately benefiting the British population. Their accumulation of power and influence reflects their unwavering dedication. The fact that we all speak their language underscores the centrality of knowledge, power, and influence. By nurturing their language with knowledge, they've cultivated an enriched culture. Those who neglect the enrichment of their language and culture are compelled to pay exorbitant fees to be educated in the language of knowledge and science, continuing to do so perpetually and remaining at the base of the societal hierarchy unless they embark on a journey of cultural development, elevating themselves to a higher plane of existence. My dear, to cut story short, we have a long way to go.
@mrsranciz
@mrsranciz 10 ай бұрын
Wow!!! This is another valid angle…. So where do we begin?
@kansakali3040
@kansakali3040 10 ай бұрын
@@mrsranciz Regrettably, we need to begin the transformation from a nearly foundational level. This transformation commences with our educational system, necessitating the prioritization of African languages by repositioning colonial languages as subjects for study. By discontinuing their use as the primary languages of instruction, we pave the way for a more assertive transfer of knowledge from European languages to African languages, and consequently, from European culture to African culture. This marks the initial step in this transformative journey.

@@kansakali3040 you have just nailed it. In 2019, I looked deep into my soul, I searched and I asked what do I really want? The Japa trend was so high, during my soul searching I found out that many people are being deceived into slavery. I got to know that the time to go abroad like it used to be in the 80s and 90s has gone. That USA, UK etc are not what it used to be. This time around their agenda towards Africans has changed to something different. It is a trap. I put my Business for sale but I said it is better to stay and wither the storm . I decided to live a minimally life to survive. I don't engage in things that waste my money and time. No church, no friends, parked my car, thinking of a bike, no going out to eat trash and I am grateful I am not an alcohol drinker. I just got a few boxing equipment and began training myself. I live in a cheap but very beautiful two bedroom in an Abuja satellite town at 450k per annum. Almost 24/7 electricity, I eat very cheap good fruits veggies and fruits. I am managing my business. I have been booed by my own wife because I refuse to japa. I have been scorned but I don't care because I have been lucky to be very informed about world affairs. There are many places in Africa including Nigeria where you can live peacefully, richly and quietly. Educate yourself properly and then pass good education to your children without too much suffering. This Japa is another trans Atlantic slave trade.

Throughout history [with the exception of refugees escaping war or oppression] emigration to a new nation has always been really difficult. The nation you move to will often not be better, it will just be different. And if you don't accept the culture of the nation you chose to move to, then going there is often a mistake.

What’s the point of this video. it : I don’t feel like a second class citizen, life treats you the way you feel. My friends and I are doing well and my children are very 29:49 successful. I have never felt like a second class citizen before. When I’m in Nigeria I don’t have much in common with them except for the skin colour. My mannerisms and my mindset is British because that’s where I grew up but when I get to Nigeria they still treat me differently. You grew up there so it’s different for you. I have learnt to live in the present. I live in Nigeria its very very tough now but i have known for many years that living in places like the UK is not it. I would like to move to kenya at most but the western world is not good for my soul at all. As a matter of fact if i could buy vast lands in some peaceful African bush build a house, farm, a dirt bike. There is no future anywhere, a better future is in your mind. Nigerians think their children speaking phone and going to school with white people is a better future but for me the igbo man who learns a trade of repairing airconditions is far more equipped than a Nigerian who has a master's degree from City university london. The AC repairer can get a good job in Barhain, UAE etc. Abeg that their better future na scam. School scam.

I think the diaspora should try to give back and make an impact on our country by investing and creating opportunities. We can’t deny that earning in pounds/dollars gives us a leverage. Building a house back home than you won’t even get to spend much time in, is not as impactful as doing something for the betterment of the society. We need to unite resources and be less selfish and carry out projects for the benefit of the less privileged, that’s how you change a country

I think at the long run Japa will turn out well for Nigeria 🇳🇬 if we think home and give back. Some will return while some will influence from abroad. Gotta keep your distain for how other people live to yourself when you go to their* country in search of better opportunities for yourself.

Disdain? Not really dear, I spoke about the good things I enjoy in this country and also mentioned certain things that are a norm here that’s against our beliefs and culture as Africans. I didn’t express disdain. I hope this explains it

There is The Good The Bad and The Ugly. The Good we have cell phones now to replace our home phones we could not afford . The Bad we do not have 24hr Electricity . The Ugly we have oil but buy foreign Petro , we have Cocoa but buy Chocolates , we have cotton but buy Okrika 😅😅😅 . Our problem is our Culture and Our Technology not working for our interest 😊.

We are not sticking with our culture. That’s the issue. Sometimes it seems like we ain’t even proud of our heritage

My dear, there is nothing like I can't go back at this point, if you are really convinced that leaving nigeria to the UK is a huge mistake to the extent of covertly discouraging others from leaving , then correct your mistake and go back to nigeria and stop being a hypocrite.

you had a great life in nigeria. i used to watch you and wode maya. you looked so beautiful and radiant and robust and full of life. you threw it all away to japa. you dont look as happy and radiant anymore. you have lost weight. peter obi had 8 years to rule anambra and he didnt do anything so not sure why you think he would change nigeria.. we only want him there because we think its igbos turn not because we think he can change anything

So Tinubu is better right? No body wanted Obi because they think it’s Igbo’s turn. 70% Nigerians wanted Obi because we all know that Tinubu is a certificate forger, a Drug lord and a thief.. Can’t believe people still think Tinubu is better than Obi So ridiculous

@antaresatlantis6785 Your comment is giving “tribalism”. Obi didn’t do anything in Anambra? How did you know? Are you from Anambra state? Wow! Well, Tinubu is there now and we can all see the difference in such a short while. So it’s better to have a president who oppressed people and performed all sorts of malpractices to get into office?? Wow!!! Just wow!!! I haven’t complained that I’m suffering in the Uk and anyone can loose weight anywhere in the world. How do you know I haven’t lost weight on purpose? Do you know if I have been ill? That weight loss point doesn’t add up. As much as this video seems personal, it’s Really not… This video is a cry to every Nigerian living in Nigeria and in diaspora. I am still beautiful, radiant and full of life… nothing has changed. Life is all about perspective and it’s a shame you can’t see my beauty and radiance anymore and just because you cannot see it doesn’t mean it’s not there. Thanks for your contribution 🙏
