Love these camping videos. Been watching since this summer. This winter I’ve spent 6 nights on the ice in Maine. Met CJ and Anna at Sebago when they helped me with my stick sled. Great people. Then spent the night one Lovewell with my wife in my tent while our friends spent the night in CJs shack. Thanks for all the encouragement. PS if you’re ever into fishing on Cape Cod, look me up. I have a 25’ Parker that I fish sea bass, stripers and whatever else from. Be glad to take you. I’m also a commercial scalloper if you ever want scallops!

Finally got a chance to watch, couldn't wait to get home! Joe, this video taught me more about real fishing and the awesome guy you are than all the others put together, and that is why I happily made the trip out to meet you and the others a few weeks ago, just to shake your hand and show my support to true highest quality programs and clean honest content. Do remember to take it easy, dont feel like you have to get stuff out just to keep us viewers happy, take time for yourself,, we will always be here when you release the next one. Thank you so much for what you do, Kevin in Norwood ny👍👍👍👍👍

Hi Joe. I absolutely love your channel. I live in northern ontario Canada and love fishing for lake trout ( small ones with orange color meat). I fill 1lb propane bottles with a small brass fitting i got from Amazon. Make sure your 1 lb bottle is empty and frozen when filling. Weigh your bottle empty, add 1 to the wight and that is your finish weigh of the full bottle Put your 20lb propane upside down with brass fitting screwed in. Screw in 1lb bottle to fitting then open 20lb tank. You will here the propane flowing. When it stops flowing shut the valve on your 20lb tank and remove the bottle and weigh it. If not tonthe desired weight go outside and press on the bottle valve to release the pressure until no more air comes out and repeat filling procedure until you get you total weight of the 1lb bottle Happy filling Cheers Steph Giroux 🇨🇦 🍁

Cj and Anna are great people (as you know) willing to help anyone, especially when it comes to getting youth involved, or educating other sportsmen. Glad you enjoyed the day. Refilling the tanks- empty tanks weigh about .80- 85 lbs. Fill tanks some and purge some air. Usually about 1-2 minutes. (You can hear, the difference.) Weigh your tanks to 1.85 - 1.95. This gives you your full tank. 1lb. I always purge back some if I exceed 2.00. Tight lines

I met you at the sebago bait event in December,I asked you how to fish structure,to be honest I have never watched any of your videos. But I looked you up on KZbin and I started by watching some of the West Grand episodes. Then I found the episodes on the chamberlain lake series, loved that one. It's nice to be able to experience places through you that I probably will never fish. Now I watch at least 1 video after work almost every night.Really liked the Sebago series. Maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to meet you on a lake somewhere and get to fish with you. Keep posting those videos.

Get a kitchen scale off Amazon to make sure you don’t over fill. Also would suggest refill hose with ball valve. I usually fill, purge, fill, and it’s at a pound or over. No need for freezing the tanks or anything like that in my experience.

I've been refilling 1 pound cylinders for 15 years now. Works great! I bought the adapter on Ebay originally, but now they sell the adapter even at Walmart. Or you can buy the Flame King refiller, which has those green bottles. More expensive, but they're nice with the kit they come with and everything. The adapter I have costed me about 15 bucks when I bought it and I've refilled the 1 pounders for a long time. When they get rusty I throw them out.

Hey , when you do start refilling those 1 pounders , keep the little black caps. I reuse them after refilling and it keeps the connection cleaner and protects the threads. I just keep a 20 pounder in my heated basement and the 1 pounders in my wood shed . When I get around to it I bring the 20 out side ( the fill fitting is always attached) Attach a 1 pounder , open the valve , flip the works upside down and let it go till it stops ??? Works every time for me.

Again Joe great series. And glad to see all went well safety wise. Getting back to your propane tanks. I dont know if you got any info in the comments, but you can buy just a straight adapter from Amazon that connects the big tank, to a small one. If I can figure out how to put a link on hear, then I'll send it to you.

Remember the ideal gas law; as the 25 lb tank loses pressure it will cool and the one pounder will heat when increasing pressure. When filling the small gas bottles from the 25 pounders, the best way to get the max fill on the one pounders is to cool them first by putting them in the freezer, and at the same time place the 25 pounder in the sun to heat it up. Connect the adapter but don't open the valve on the 25 lb tank until you turn it upside down while keeping the small tank right side up. This will send the most liquid into the one pounder and get the best fill.

This year I caught only one crappie ice fishing. I'm wondering... what lure you were using when you got the brown? Also, what is your favorite crappie lure for hardwater fishing? My favorite lure in spring and summer is crappie magnet and then the trout magnet. Stay safe!!!
