I am Palestinian, originally from a village called Alma near Safad city in north Palestine, it is very closed to Lebanon. He has spoken exactly the way we speak. And most of the Palestinians in Lebanon they actually speak the same dialect

The Palestinian accent you made was on dot to one from the city parts of palestine this includes Yafa and Haifa. They are very close to Lebanese dialect. My input on the Algerian dialect, I will be completely honest. The dialect was completely accurate (as in the words you chose would probably be said by me if I was to say those sentences) so well done on the Algerian dialect. There is a tiny thing you could improve though... and I know it may be hard but it is possible, and that is the accent. I think you sounded a bit too Lebanese, like we would definitely know your someone from the middle East somewhere and not from North Africa, a VERY helpful tip is to stop harshly on the word and pronounce it with a deeper voice, as in if you were to say "me" say "aaana" and not "anaaa". Overall very impressed 👌.

First of all great job at trying all of the dialects and accents! You're very brave for trying the Maghreb dialects since they're not easy at all for Mashriq people, especially Moroccan. As a fluent Moroccan speaking European born and raised Moroccan to me languages and dialects have always been interesting. The following is what I came to find out: Morocco as a whole but naturally has lots of simmilarities and cohesion. However, the differences are also very prominent when it comes to physical appearances, food and language. Morocco is a big and diverse country therefore the Moroccans themselves have very different accents, intonations, speech tempo and expressions depending on the region and city. Generally speaking from Morocco's point of view, the closer to the Algerian border you get the closer the similarities between the two dialects etc. The same goes for the Southern border: the more you go to the South, meaning closer to Mauritania, the more people look and speak like Mauritanians do.

There is an enormous similarity between moroccan and Algerian arabic. It's the same similarities between the Lebanese and Syrian dialects. (I am moroccan btw). So you were right about that.

Personally as an Algerian, I love the Syrian and Palestinian accent (the way they speak is very sweet) the Algerian one was very accurate (the words were accurate the tone was not, I don't know how to explain it Algerian dialect sounds harsher) and yes there are similarities between the Algerian and Moroccan accent.

Try to investigate how the other Arab countries use the verb to eat and how Maghreb countries do. You would find groups like gulf countries do it one way, Levant countries another way, Egypt is a group by itself somehow including Libya and Sudan, and the Maghreb is a group

Your Syrian dialect is perfect but you used Damascus' dialect. The dialect in the Syrian coast is closer to the Lebanese dialect than Damascus dialect is. Anyway great job. Both the Syrian and the Lebanese dialect generally are my favourite.

If you learning the classic Arabic don’t worry everyone will understand you. But if you don’t want to be so formal I advise to learn iraqi dialect, it is the easiest & closest one to the classic Arabic.

I speak Swedish and some people might think that it sounds like danish, Norwegian or German. But I have also heard that people think Swedish sounds like Chinese because it is so melodic. So I think you can say that you think Algerian and Moroccan Arabic sounds similar because someone might mistake me for speaking Chinese.

I'm not sure I would call Swedish melodic - it has lots of vowel sounds, but its rhythmic classification leans towards being stress-timed rather than syllable-timed. So it sounds less musical.

Well, yes we can understand the different dialects but in a spectrum of understanding level, depending on the geographical distance actually. like I’m from Jordan which is a Levant country so I can totally understand the Levant countries dialects very easily even though we still have differences, then the Egyptian, Iraqi and the Arab Gulf dialects(you can see these are the countries that are located near to Jordan), but when the distance gets larger like with the North African countries I still understand them but with a lower level of comprehension especially that those dialects have French words sometimes. Actually the dialects are really different even in the same exact country you can still see differences, but all dialects are derived from the standard Arabic so we still have a lot of similarities and a common base, we don’t study the dialects at all but some how we still understand each others, the TV shows and interacting with ppl from different countries make it easier. But everyone understand the standard Arabic and it’s what we learn at schools.(we use it if we couldn’t understand something while we talking). I hope I made it clear.

The first thing you might want to know is there are a lot of TV shows are being made in standard Arabic especially political shows, newscasts, and most ‘’but not all’’ documentaries. just like the books we read they are also written in standard Arabic too. but let's say a TV show in Egyptian or Levantine would a Saudi or Morrocan guy understand it or will they need subtitles? this is a very common case actually ‘’to watch a show or video in another dialect’’, it happens every day (especially with the Egyptian dialect it's very common and understandable by everyone since there are plenty of shows made by Egyptians), so we just understand each other we don't need a dub or sub. However, in some cases, you ‘’may’’ see subtitles (never dubbed) in standard Arabic (we don’t subtitle a dialect using another dialect, well at least it’s never a common thing, even though you may see a sub in the same dialect, like sub in Jordanian for a speech in Jordanian dialect, but never a sub in Sudanii for a speech in Jordanian, and this is mostly you would see in the documentaries) like writing a sub in Algerian when someone in the show is talking Algerian so this could make the thing easier for ppl from the Middle East. in general, the ppl from(Tunisia, Algeria, Morroco, Mauritania, and Libya) can understand our dialects(Middle Eastern Dialects and maybe Sudanii dialect too) better than we do, but this doesn’t mean we can’t understand them at all. soooo sory for being so long.

The Palestinian one was close but not quite. It really depends on the area here, and it's not just the accent that changes depending on the area, but also the dialect. I'll write how we say your paragraph in my area (Somewhere in the north under the occupation شو يا شو الوضع؟ وين مختفي؟/ وين اراضيك؟ زمان ما شوفناكاش/ زمان ومدة عنك/ زمان مش مبين. اسمع عندك اشي/ عليك اشي/ فاضي الجمعة الجاي؟ شوف احنا عاملين كوسا يعني اشي من اللي بحبه قلبك/يعني اشي من الآخر/اشي برفع الراس. عليك عزيمة. بس وانت جاي جيب معك اشي نشربه ويلا/ جيب معك اشي نشربه بطريقك وتعال. طيب يلا اخوي منشوفك. باي. or something like that. It really depends on the area.

That's because I'm Arab from a place in Morocco where Arabs make up a non negligible part of the population, I think it's safe to say that I can speak one entire day without using one Amazigh word in the way I speak Arabic. (I made the text)

I rate your Egyptian 6/10, it was good in some places but some words were more Levantine than Egyptian. We don't say (عم بتزورنا) we say (مش بتزورنا). We don't say (جيب شي) we say (هات حاجة), we don't say (فرط) we say (كتُر), we don't say (هنضل) we say (هنفضل).

The maghreb dialects were good but the accent and intonation was Tunisian for the three of them. The intonation is the first thing that help us algerian to identify a moroccan or tunisian person

Levantis sound similar As a person with Lebanese friendd I think Jordanians and Lebanese sound similar really u might confuse it And I just found the Syrian one more polite vers then the Lebanese And the Palestinian one is similar in some places but sounds calmer

People are gonna tell you that you messed up the Palestinian dialect but you actually pretty much nailed it. You did the northern dialect though just FYI. I’m pretty sure you did the urban Jordanian dialect too. Good job!
