VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.
This is a shortened version of the original programme
The British Government steadfastly maintains a “no deals” policy on hostages and, despite the Parliamentary delegation to Tehran, there is no evidence that Brian Keenan, John McCarthy, or Terry Waite are likely to be released.
Keenan and Mccarthy have been in captivity for over 800 days and Terry Waite for more than 500. However, the French hostages have been released and one of them, Jean-Paul Kauffman, has helped ‘THIS WEEK’ recreate the conditions in which he was held and has also helped Reporter Julian Manyon to discover the details of the deal that set him free.
