I had the feeling that he was taken by a misterious wealthy cat who pretended to be nice and friendly towards the little kitten, but once he was taken by him, shows his true colors and starts abusing and torturing him, EVERY SINGLE DAY. And the poor kitten is crying in pain, grieve, and help for someone.

After watching the entire movie, I finally found a movie that describes the feeling of loneliness: seeing everyone you love die in front of you while you are unable to do anything but watch them suffer. Although the movie will pass by 10 Years later, it's still a great movie.

He didn’t choose his sister over him. She was DYING right in front of him of course he wanted to hug her one last time even if it meant he’d die too. She called for him and he couldn’t just look at his dying daughter and do nothing. Her dying wish was to be in her fathers arms again and he gave that to her.

I'm so glad I came back to this video. I was honestly scared when I first watched it when I was younger, YEARS ago.. The details of the cracks on the cats faces. This is one of the first animations that managed to make me cry. All this anger, frustration, confusion and despair of emotions came bursting out of me. I came back, again after 5 years. Seeing the father hug the sister breaks my heart, just last year I had covid and I was in the verge of dying, while at the hospital I was so scared of what was gonna happen to me, thankfully my mom stayed with me the whole time and at one time I had a breakdown and I cried begging my mom to hug me in case something happened to me and she did, thankfully I recovered after 4 days and have been healthy since then, and my mom has not once been infected

Ok at the end, was definitely the most saddest bit. The sister got the disease. And when the dad saw what was happening to her, he had to go inside the room. He put the little cat down. It was so sad how he had the disease and that both of them died from it. And at the very end, the little cat is all alone. I just feel very bad for him. No siblings, no parents. Only his toy (which he tried to drown it). Rest In Peace to those 3 cats ❤😭

Watching this film again years later, I now have lots of questions about the story ! I keep wondering if there's some sort of metaphor to the story as to why the characters are cats or if there's hidden symbolism behind this disease that killed the father and daughter. Or if there's any reason as to why the youngest cat tries to drown his stuffed toy. I keep thinking there's some deeper meaning, but I also might be reading into it too much- Overall, I think the film was beautifully done ! Whether there is a deeper meaning or not, I absolutely love it !

I think it’s about how if one kid in the family gets some serious illness or disability the parent(s) will put all their attention towards that one kid and neglect all the other ones. Even though it’s an act of love from the perspective of the parent, being there for the more vulnerable child, the other child/children will be left wondering why their parent(s) don’t care about them and abandoned them.

My parents made me watch this many years ago, when I was a kid. It terrified me and I cried so much, Becuase I saw my brother in the little cat brother. I wondered what It would be like if my brother was in his place, and how lonely he would feel if all his family members left his side, one by one. I'm back here after so many years. I'm 14 now, but this film still never fails to make tears stream down my face. I hope no one has to face such loneliness, not even my worst enemies

I remember watching this as a kid and thinking that this was horrifying especially when the youngest kid was all alone.
