I love how much symbolism there is in this, especially when towards the end, the groom tries to cover up the spill on the bride’s dress, showing that simply covering up your problems isn’t the solution. Then, at the end, when they’ve literally torn each other apart, it shows that the fact they weren’t able to confront their problems and find a proper solution, cause them to tear each other-and their relationship-apart.

I love how near the end with the credits pictures, it shows that even with imperfections and faults, you can make it work if you really do care. The real groom and bride got past that and made it work, while the cake toppers tried to cover up their faults and so much more. The symbolism behind it is incredible.

That wasn’t the moral of the story. The moral is, they tried to mold each other for their own selfish benefit. Also why the dude smashed the dog and turned into a tv for HIS entertainment. Neither did the husband or the wife wanted to put themselves last even for the dog. The dog as well wanted attention and had its own needs. But at the end everyone lost themselves. But if you still have the mentality of “ I’m going to marry a person who fits my every need” then you’re still mistaken.

Nah, the real couple shared a kiss on the mouth and were so happy, that they didn't even care that the cake was destroyed. So I think it shows more the contrast of a happy married couple that put a lot of thought and time into their relationship and how the couple could have been if not or how couple in general end up if married to soon or without much consideration for their dreams of married life.

I love the detail in the film where the bride's declining love for her partner is symbolized by her trying to remove the stain. In fact, every time she tries to clean it, from that moment on, she becomes less in love with him, until the end, when she realizes her mistake and desperately tries to wash it away, a sign that she has definitively understood that the marriage is broken. Unfortunately, many relationships and marriages (a statistic indicates about 50% of these) are lived in this way, and I add, due to a lack of education about life.

4:50 its a good thing she chose not to have kids but also shows how even only offering they adopt a puppy only to apease his desire to be paternal when she cant even offer to take the dog for a walk her self, but also if he wanted to be a father and cant even take the dog for a walk, what kind of father would he be? even if you are highly religous, just do an extended engagement before you even start planning the wedding, make sure you know who you are going to marry, give it time for any act or facade to wear away before you get tricked into marrying an alias only to find out who the real spouse is only after the papers are signed. You can still be abstinant if you choose to, you can even just play house a bit with out spending hte night or sleeping in seperate bedrooms until the wedding night if you dont beleive in sharing a bed before being married, but too many folks are getting married not knowing who they are and then feeling unable to file for a divorce because of their religion. Also, even just spending the weekend days at each others residences, taking turns every other week for an extended time period would help those who are religious avoid divorce better.... Me personally Im an athiest so I dont have such worries, but just thinking logically how those who are religious can be more cautious with out sacrificing their core values.

I would like to comment on your point about the dog, This is how i saw it. I think the husband did care for the dog most of the time, but being the only one taking care of a pet that lives in both of yours home is unfair. I think it shows how much their values don't align, as the wife doesn't want anything to take care of and the husband wants to be a dad.

Love how the cake topper bride just gave the groom a peck on the cheek because she was expected to be okay with the spill, while the bride at the end looked at the spill, looked anoyed at the moment and then just went "What the hell, it's just a dress" and gave the groom a proper kiss because their relationship is what the wedding is all about.

During the credits however show photos from the wedding that show similar behavior from the cake toppers though, that fortell that they will struggle together within their marriage as their confectionary dopplegangers. Differences on the baby issue- the groom showing affection towards a guest's baby, the bride looking distressed and uncomfortable when holding the baby. The groom prefering a different female body type- the groom's wandering eye towards the bridesmaids breasts.

@@Circa1628 yeah, it’s a struggle to figure out whether the cake toppers are an exaggeration of what will happen in the future to the real couple or if the real couple will get over these differences and live happily ever after. Which I think is great that people can have both interpretation, because that’s kinda how real life works. It either will or won’t work out, we won’t know for sure until we live through it. Though some things really should be discussed before marriage, like babies.

I LOVE the wine on the wedding dress symbolising how their relationship was tainted from getting married. It was always a problem for the wife, who tried to wipe the blot away, but the stain was permanent. Meaning the commitment of marriage, and the expectations. Wonderful imagery to illustrate that getting married to someone who you aren’t compatible with can break the relationship all together.

Marriage is a wonderful thing, it symbolizes love and a start of a new chapter for a couple. Marriage is never awful, people are and it’s only awful when people who shouldn’t get married, get married. Why I personally think so many people have awful marriages is because some people don’t think about what it mean to be married. Another thing is being/not having a partner that is not ready or suited for marriage. Worst of all, is when couples don’t discuss having kids before getting married. I come from a big family that has lots of kids so I know how badly marriage turns out to be because of naive couples who don’t know the reality of marriage. I have cousins, aunts and uncles who still suffer because of their partner, and so do their kids. Divorce is not popular where I’m from and even when couples divorce, there’s still irreparable damage but it gets even worse when there’s kids involved.

Yeah, you could tell with the kiss in the beginning that it wasnt going to be good. Really get to know someone for their character and faults. And have parallel life goals. It wasnt bad for the man to want a child but he married someone who wanted to be kid free. Those types of relationships will not work out. Talk about these things before getting married. If you find out your partner wants something different, it may be best to rethink the relationship. I had to do that when i found out my boyfriend of 6 years didnt want kids. Called it off. He can find someone who wants to be kid free.

My jaw dropped at 5:00.😨This implies the real couple actually gets rid of, harms, and/or kills a real dog, as the couple's behavior in the credits is mirroring the cake toppers. A well done animation is one that makes you react, and this certainly made me do just that. Hopefully since the couple isn't confined to a cake box, friends and family can convince the pair to get help or therapy before things get dark.

This was so amazing! A few thoughts from me: I love how’s it animated and the cake figures look so cute! I love the story behind it as well. Sometimes the bride get get so worked up on trying to plan her perfect wedding that the smallest thing can sometimes ruin her day or have a bit of conflict down the road. At the end when she got over it since it was just a dress and wanted to have a loving time with her hubby is truely what a wedding should be about. Babies are usually expected after getting married but I think its important to discuss with your spouse both before dating, proposing marriage, basically any VERY IMPORTANT STEPS because they could have very different ideas of a relationship and where they want to move forward. Sometimes they may want children at first but then decide maybe it’s not a good idea, or that financially they don’t want kids mixed in. Children should always be a blessing and something both parents should want, not forced so one if happy, so when she choose a dog, I was very happy to see he was ok with it. I do like the fact that they added the groom looking at another persons boobs because it’s very natural for guys EVEN IF THEY ARE MARRIED to look at other women and the same goes for women looking at men. The important thing is not to try and force your partner to become your dream partner. People can look but should understand they married someone based on different ideas and types. That doesn’t mean they want to cheat, it’s just human nature to look at people. As long as they don’t cheat, and still show their partner the same love and respect for each other, then they should be fine. Again great video! Loved it! Would love to see more videos like this or in this style!

Ah yes foreshadowing.. It for sure foreshadowed the kiss of the lips. Wait what? The cake couple kiss on the cheek? But wait if it foreshadowed then real couple should have kissed on the cheek too! Yeah you didn't pay attention to detail did ya? Cake Couple was an example of toxic relationships, while the real couple was a better relationship.

I grew up around people that did not beleive in living iwht your fiance before getting married and its like..... you dont truly know a person until you live with them. Doesnt even have to be the same residence or even over night, but like even just spending the weekdays at the brides residence and the grooms residence on the weekendds will still show you a lot. Some thing many to be couples dont think about is arguing is a healthy part of a relationship, so long as both sides have good conflict resolution skills or the couple can improve their conflict resolution skills as a couple. So much emphasis is put on the idea that 'you should never argue" and no emphasis seems to ever be applied to "fighting fair" The bride will have a hard day at work and come home where the groom is busy doing the dishes and both might feel like they are the ones pulling more of the weight and the argument will happen, but if that arguement can remain civil, fact based and reframe from name calling then the couple can actually grow closer together having dealt with the emotions and sorted out the issue and see each others point of view and end up with better understanding.. I mention that because its clear that the accidental spill of wine on the wedding dress really spooked the groom, as if he had no idea what to expect the bride to do, the long pause as she realizes she needs to save face versus a genuine reaction of "its just a dress I can bleach it. I love you." is so telling.

maybe unlike the cake toppers the couple won't end up so badly as unlike the cake bride the real bride does end up kissing the groom on the mouth and doesn't seem so worried about the stain in the pictured unlike the cake topper who was cleaning the stain every chance she had and while some of the characteristics of the cake toppers are actually applied to the real couple they seem to have better communication and to not being as serious as the cake toppers. which makes sense since for the cake toppers that moment will be their whole life while for the real couple is only another big moment in their lives together
