The funny part is Lebron is putting in half effort on some of the cuts and screens, but it doesn't matter. He still attracts attention and he can conserve a bit of energy. Pretty smart to let all the younger guys run around at full speed and let Lebron either initiate the pass or slower cuts.

I think it’s ironic how the part of AD’s game that is now finally being unlocked is what literally every commentator and analyst has told us every time they talk about his past: he was a PG until he had a late growth spurt and became a center. The passing skills from his PG days are still there and are finally being unleashed on the league!! if he’s stays healthy this is an MVP year for him

For anyone who doubts Lebron/Lakers for trusting JJ, just compare Reddick's effect on the Lakers to Ham's effect on the Bucks in these 4 games; The Lakers are playing with more joy, everyone is contributing and making the extra effort and it shows with the offensive rebounds and assists ; The Bucks are just miserable, no game plan, no good vibes and absolutely no energy like the Lakers were last year.. And just wait until the players get back to their shooting averages and the bench scores more than just 8 points, this Lakers team is gonna be a well oiled machine..

The biggest part about JJ’s offensive scheme is his real actions are hidden behind multiple decoy actions. Defense, especially when team plays lakers the past few years, are used to defending one action per play (AD pick n roll), at most 2 actions (plus iso). But now JJ is running 2-3 plays before the real play, and every plays he run involves almost all 5 players. Such multiple actions creates huge confusions to the defense. This is going to generate huge success in the regular season. In the playoff where teams have more time to prepare, it’s hard to say. But for regular seasons it is definitely posed to success.

@@jacksonsheldon41He has played 2 bad games and one good in 3 games with the Nuggets. Y'all really decide on 3 games if a player is bad with a team. Fact is that Westbrook the past years has been a solid contributor for the teams he played except for the Lakers. The very first year after the left the Lakers for the Clippers, he shot his career high FG% of 49% and 15.8 points, 5 rebounds, 7.5 assists 1 steal and 0.4 blocks in only 28 minutes of playing time. The common dominator was the Lakers. How are you getting Westbrook and have him play off ball instead of a pick&roll with Davis, Lebron and Hachimura on repeat? That was most certainly a trash decision by Lebron who decided to keep the ball in his hands and have Westbrook 'set screens and cut' and have him play like some mini Draymond Green, when Westbrook plays like a mini Lebron. Yes Lebron has a great bball IQ, but even people with a high bball IQ, make dumb decisions at times.

The passing is increased but so has the variety of passers. Gabe Vincent, already a good passer, is passing to AD rather than take a contested three. AD is the hub of the offense when Lebron is resting, something everyone has wanted for years and Ham couldn't make happen. When we're not just chucking threes and hoping AD will get a rebound it's already a different offense. 8:14 - I love to see this. JJ is still one of the guys. Yes, he's the coach. Bud using KD as the focal point of the late game offensive sets look like a no brainer but remember last year he was standing near the corner as secondary options with DB / BB operating up top!! BB’s defense will hopefully improve w better coaching, otherwise Bud will just cut his minutes. Letting Austin Reaves abuse him all game w back doors / screens is just unacceptable for this level. JJ’s space / pace system is super charging AD. People whined AD not being aggressive enough at times, he didn’t have space to operate AND he wasn’t featured.

Nah like just look at their passing only. So much change. Last years with vogel and ham, they had AD or bron on post/iso 80% of the time. Pretty much target ball. However the 2020 team was an exception, not much passing as this one but with lebron as the pure point, and the amount of shooting that roster had, they were due for a ring. + defense was literally insane that year. Last time they looked this promising was 2020 or maybe arguably 2023 during that miracle run .

I believe bron and kd can play less than 65 games due to they age… they is zero reason bron should be playing back to backs. Meanwhile in 76er land….

Letting players put their buddies and family members in as teammates and coaches has a long history of poor results. Maybe they'll win the title, hey, but there's a lot of aspects to coaching besides just being friends with the best player and describing fancy plays on a podcast.

Am I crazy or are the first play & the play Lebron drew up close but not the same? Never saw the 3 man set a low post cross screen for LeCoach to catch the entry pass before whipping it to the top of the key for that 3 attempt. Looked like it was a regular pass to lebron with a couple screens for AR at the top. Right? Promise I’m not trolling 😂

2 Most Intelligent Players left in the NBA are the oldest. LBJ and CP3. They’ve seen everything and understand the game from an intellectual standpoint.

Lakers fans are still absolutely brain dead sometimes. Austin reaves is arguably our second best player right now and you’ll still see, either idiots or trolls, saying he should be traded. Probably not so much now, I’m sure the absolute bricks that ever had that opinion are trying to get away from it as fast as possible to not look like bigger idiots than they are. LeBron is coasting, and you have to be weary of it. The biggest goal for the Lakers is to win games without LeBron exerting energy. Not only will it pay off later on in the season, when you need that quick scoring run, LeBron is still dominant enough to do it in spurts. LeBron has basically become a “break glass if necessary” player. Be on the lookout for the Lakers who are still without Vando, the best defensive player on the team, and Wood who can provide valuable time for AD to rest. Look for the Lakers to trade for a 3 and D player and a bruising big, come trade deadline; a move that can catapult them above the rest of the teams, higher than they are already are.

Vando isnt the best defender on the team that title belongs to AD. Unless you meant perimeter defender than yeah he's the best one we got

@ yes, I was kinda implying our best defender behind AD. I could’ve been a bit more specific, but you clearly understood the implication since it’s obvious AD is the best defender.

Vando would have been huge against the suns this past game. Green eggs and buma ss Ham didn't always know how to use him considering his bad shooting, but I feel like JJ is going to know what to do
