Anybody who thinks Lebron's peak was better than Jordan's needs to put that pipe down!! Lol Anyone who was old enough to watch Jordan, saw greatness and it's why he was the best player in the NBA for so many years winning 3 championships in a row!! Jordan's peak was from 85 to 93. And even when Jordan wasn't winning championships he was still dominating the league. And that's when Pippen hadn't developed into the all star player he was yet, Jordan still dragged them to the playoffs, semifinals and conference game in the late 80s. And those were the years where Jordan put up his best numbers. It took Lebron 15 seasons to do what Jordan did in 9 when you compare their averages.
@thepublishingpoet84352 жыл бұрын
I'm old enough to have seen the og Michael Jordan and that would be DR. J. The doctor ran all over the American Basketball League the league for Black folks because a nigga wasn't welcome in the NBA. If you'd add together Julius Erving's ABA scoring with his NBA scoring he's probably somewhere near the top players numbers of the NBA. Anyway, back to MJ Jordan could and would score incredibly well for the Bulls but they seemed to find ways to lose anyway. Six, seven years Michael would shoot the hell out of the basket--and they'd lose. In fact, what the Lakers have provided for Lebron these last few years looks very much like the scrub teams put together around Lebron. This old planet spinnin' round, tells us somethin'. Tells us the forces of a circle as it spins around till it gets back to where it started. Lebron turned around a Cleveland team immediately. Oh they weren't good enough to win it all but they were a threat to go all the way because they had Lebron. Jordan's teams sucked initially until they put some really good teammates around him, and when they finally did Michael won. There's that circular thing again but hey, could be um talkin' sum straight bs! Lol

Some people might not even remember the great players we had on our team Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith etc.. I DO! But it doesn't matter. Because we didn't win. Know how people say in post season your regular season record doesn't matter anymore, you start back at zero? Well I also add that if you get to the finals what you did to get there doesn't matter if you don't win. having no other literal all star does not mean you don't have people that aren't all star caliber and rodman was. theres a reason he's in the hall of fame. Jordan had way more help then LeBron on individual teams and he faced easier teams. expecting LeBron's 50+ wins teams to beat a 73-9 warriors is laughable but when Jordans 72-10 bulls beats a 60 win team I'm supposed to be impressed which makes no sense considering he's carrying nobody. none of Jordan's wins were impressive and he had all the help in the world. If Lebron had that help he would have at least 8 rings. Just Imagine if Lebron was with the heat for his whole career but you also add amazing bench depth.

They don’t remember that Chris Bosh was an all star and could have easily made it to the hof if he was never injured and Dwayne wade will be a hof induction. Like he always had crazy talent needed to win
@BalloonFight2 жыл бұрын
@@kennethgodwin2461 This is the biggest, most Lebron fan cap, I've seen. Lebron would have 1 ring if he stayed with the Cavs the entire time. Lebron has literally had more help than Jordan throughout his entire career. Jordan won 3 in a row with a developing Pippen... and Horace Grant. If Lebron was on the 87 bulls and was told "Hey Lebron, don't worry, we've got a 5th seed draft in Pippen, a 10th seed draft in Horace grant, and a rookie coach in Phil Jackson... lets go win some chips" he would have been flying out scouting for an already top 75 player to ride his coattails. Instead Lebron lost 9 years in a row, and decided that he had to go try to make a super team... which he did... and he should have won 4 in a row with that team. Early 2010s were literally free taking and weak as hell. Imagine thinking Jordan winning 3 in a row with nobodies at the time (yes, Pippen was a nobody at THAT time), never going to a game 7, never losing after Pippen reached a level where Jordan actually had a 2nd player helping him.. is less impressive. Do you really think that building up your franchise to dominate a league for years, is less impressive than flying around the country, grasping at straws to build teams to win, then bailing once it's not working anymore? When Rodman came to the Bulls, they traded Will Perdue for a 35 year old Dennis Rodman. That was AFTER they won 3 in a row mind you. By the sounds of it, you probably never watched much 80s or 90s ball, and you have no idea who Will Perdue is.. most people don't. That shows how "valued" a 35 year old Rodman was at the time. Jordan retires for 17 or 18 months, they get Rodman who's partying, doesn't really want to take shit seriously.. and then they win another 3 in a row. If you want to play the hypothetical game with "Lebron would have 8 rings".. which he wouldn't, he's 4-6 when the East was insanely weak for a decade, and he'd get bodied by the West... and then when he formed his super team he won 2 and lost to the 2nd oldest team ever. Imagine if Jordan's dad didn't get murdered, and Krause didn't want to split everyone up. Jordan would have an ACTUAL 8, or 9. Hypothetical's are fun because even with Lebron being able to jump from superstar to superstar, he's still 40% in the finals, and gets outplayed by nobody players.

I always say, if LeBron dominated his opposition and has been "dominating the NBA" why did he get swept twice in the finals and was not even competitive in those finals and why has he never been able to do a 3 peat? Granted when he came back from being 1 loss away from being eliminated from the finals and came back to win 3 games in a row to win the championship, that was amazing. I have always said LeBron is an amazing player and might be one of the greatest players the NBA has ever seen but he is not the GOAT. What's wrong with being the second greatest player in the NBA ever? I don't see anything wrong with it. You don't see Magic or Bird crying that they were better than Jordan or calling themselves the greatest. Lebron has played 20 years and won 4 championships, Kobe had 5 in 20 years as well I think but Jordan had 6 in 13 years and if you want to count the Wizards years (he only came back cause the wizards were horrible and wanted to show the young team how to win) we can so that's 6 in 15 with 2, 3 peats. Kobe also has a 3 peat. LeBron stacks his teams and can even win back to back championships unless he had Wade and Bosh. There is no comparison. Jordan never shied away from going to the free throw line with the game on the line and never rested on defense. LeBron is great but has many holes in his game. He used to be a great defender but that part of his game has declined. Just because LeBron is not the GOAT it does not take away from his accomplishments or how great he has been as a player. Saying Jordan was better than him does not automatically make LeBron crap. He just isn't the GOAT and that's fine but LeBron fans can't accept that.

That guy has some revisionist history for Michael Jordan's six championships because he won both three peats with completely different rosters! Only Scottie pippen was on the original three-peat but people gloss over that the same way they gloss over Jordan hitting six threes in game 1 of the 92 finals. I mean the guy hit a record number of three-pointers in the first half of that game and yet people will not take him at his word when he says he chooses to not be a good three-point shooter. They act like he just couldn't see the basket from three, completely ignoring how the game was played and the fact that the man himself said he prefers not to shoot the three! I think Jordan still holds the record for most three-pointers in a half of a finals game and yet people claim he couldn't shoot from long distance... I think if Jordan played at the same time as Steph Curry you wouldn't even know who Steph Curry is or he wouldn't be highly talked about. I say this with no disrespect but Steph Curry would have been relegated to like Damian Lillard John Wall status as a great player but just not on Michael Jordan's level and I'm speaking as a three-point sniper because Michael Jordan would have mastered the three-point shot!

Another thing is he needs 2-3 all stars to win rings, people praise lebron for going to the finals many many times but most of them were because he had the easiest path with the Easter conference, in 2007 he did not have any competition and still he gets too much credit, 2019 missed playoffs 2021 first round exit 2022 not even play in but nobody talks about it, it took another MVP level player to came and win in 2020 but nobody cares, he always needs 2-3 all stars and even with that he doesn't score the most important shots, 2013 ray Allen shot and Chris Bosh rebound saved lebrons legacy 2016 lebron faced injured and suspended players in GSW and still it took kyire to hit the most important three once again lebron watching, he doesn't even have a single shot like the one Jordan scored in 1998, In fact the biggest difference between Jordan and lebron is lebron does whatever it takes to be the hero and Jordan does whatever it takes to win, he doesn't try to be the hero. A great example of that is the 1997 finals, he had the ball to hit the game winner and instead of shooting a contested shot he drew defensive attention and passed the ball to Steve Kerr to hit the game winner leaving him wide open from midrange, he obviously scored due to Jordans assist and they won cause Jordan did the right play instead of trying to be the hero, the game winner of Paxton in 1992 was out of a Jordan play too, Jordan scores the game winner if it's needed and he makes his teammates score game winners if it's needed, lebron doesn't do that. In 2013 when he had the ball to hit the game winner he threw a contested brick against TWO defenders instead of passing, if Bosh didn't grabbed the rebound to pass it to Allen they would have lost 2013 ring due to lebrons ego like they already did in 2011, if he let wade be wade they would have won 2011 easily. In my opinion if Bosh was in 2011 heat and lebron was still in cavaliers the heat would have won 2011 ring, cause all wade needed was another all star caliber player to win, after Shaq declined he couldn't win. So yeah, that's the main reasons why lebron is overrated and not even close to be top 2 all time, am i forgetting more reasons? Maybe. But how many superstars can you name that lost rings cause of their ego? Cause the only one I can think of besides lebron is Kobe.
