Wrong!!! Kawhi was a vital player for us but again as this guy is saying the Spurs never rely on one person. We had a bench that could have beaten most of the starting teams at that time. We would have won with or without Kawhi, we wouldn't have steamrolled like we did, it would have been close but we would have won!!!

We still would’ve needed somebody to replace him, somebody at least decent.. I think Kawhi was a large part, MVP of the series, they destroyed the Heat bc Kawhi was part of the team. I do think they could’ve won it with somebody else but they would need to be of some stature..

The Spurs could’ve won another one like two years later, maybe three.. but Zaza Pachulia put his foot under a shooting Kawhi who had his year ended and his next season too after landing on Pachulia’s foot and messing up his ankle real bad. Looked like it was on purpose too but I don’t know that for a fact. It’s just my guess bc of how it looked and Zaza was a well known dirty player

By the way, that was the 2013 finals...in 2014, the Spurs absolutely spanked the Heat. They won four games by an average of 20 points 😊
