RJ is awesome, he's living his best life, great theatre because he stays fluid and doesn't take himself so serious. Because of this he will intentionally pivot into absurdity while staying on topic. He enjoys the banter so much that he will make himself the butt of the jokes to keep the story popping. He acutely understands the business aspect of being on live tv, there can't be any dead air. It's still called, 'show business' and you had better be showing the business or you are out. He would not however be best suited as the host, not because he wouldn't be good at it but it would limit his best stuff. Someone has to play it straight because it is a business first. He and big Perk are hilarious together because RJ sets'em up and big Perk knocks'em down and whoever the producers and hosts are know this and allows them to get at each other. He creates natural energy with whomever is opposite him so naturally he and Lebron are a good pairing as well.
