Should have seen that coming with Shaq and then Iverson honestly guys, I was a late teen and I could see it.. Where thier IMAGE got in the way of the game and its traditions. Back then told people thats why I didnt like wrestling stuff.., its all showmanship, not proper competition.. WHITE MAN CANT JUMP .. the debate about SHOW vs RESULTS... Wesley won that in the long term... but Woody was Right, Showing off can come at a cost.. TODAY the SHOW trumps the actual game for authority. Lebrons "player empowerment" (notice now not mentioned much since he STILL controls teams but they are embarrassing??) It's all been coming a long time, but instead of call it out, they called us "haters" for a long time when you mention the TRAVELLING and how far CARRY had been taken.. How certain things "happen" to players on other teams before his wins, how his team mates are under valued... MOST, not just his fanboys, would call us haters MOST would say its hating not to have him top 2 or atleast 5... Up until around last 6 years or so... Myself and others fought the 99% and now its gaining traction, people finally seeing this level of refs and stats manipulation has to lower him on rankings.. NOW people are rea;izing the side effects of letting people be intead of hold them accountable and to standards.

That was a fantastic, hilarious introduction. Look, if you lace up, put on the shorts and pull on the jersey - warm up, do a PRE-game interview of what you need to accomplish, do your Dr. Strange-Splash-the-Resin routine, and never look VISIBLY sick during the game…. I’m just gonna assume you’re ready to play. If you lose - give credit to the other team for playing well and telling us what you intend to do differently and then DO that. It’s not about greatness; what call that being a “MAN.” Conquer MANHOOD first, then we can talk about greatness. GOAT of Excuses is correct.

Great reaction video, as always, man, and fantastic commentary! I also watched yesterday a video from Jonny Arnett about McHale’s injury that Uncut mentioned, and I think you’d enjoy it if you haven’t watched it already! Anyway, I wanted to point out something about MJ’s 40+ points at age 40. As impressive as it was, I’m sure LeBron can surpass it, he just scored 39 yesterday. However, the difference is huge. MJ stat line was 43 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals, with a game score of +9 in a victory. Meanwhile, LeBron had 39 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1 steal, but with a game score of -21, and they lost. I know some LePeople will say it's because AD wasn’t playing, but still! Also, let’s not forget that MJ attempted only 23% of his shots from under 10 feet, with over 70% between 10 feet and the 3-point line in his last NBA season. Compare that to LeBron, who, in his last two seasons, has taken just 17% of his shots from between 10 feet and the 3-point line, with a massive 53% coming from 0-10 feet. So, what are we really talking about here? And I’m not even mentioning the hustle, lack of complaints, and the eye test. MJ was still a two-way player in his 40s, while LeBron has been coasting for at least the last 7-8 years! And honestly, LeBron could keep playing until his 50s, but if all he does is walk around while blaming teammates, playing sloppy defense, and shoving people while driving to the rim, the comparison will always fall way short!

hi to all, from Portugal (in Europe) hope you are all doing well, peace. first, thank you for these videos, i really like/love them: they are (very) interesting, pedagogical and sometimes i can take a few laughs with them, specially when Lebron "comes to town"... im a 90s guy, i love basketball thanks to Michael Jordan, the best COMPLETE player i've haver seen so far. I don't have more words to describe him,!..... i also love those times because we could feel the love for the game, the physical competition brought into the game, the contact, the courage to execute post moves, playing injured, etc etc Now.... wel... it's alll about money and money and money: why to make an effort if in the end of the day i will have more millions in my bank account, right ?..... The younger generations dont have a comparison base but i do because i saw the game from final 80s till now. when seeing this video of course it make totally sense for me. Lebron is really the GOAT excuses and it stops there. i'm not a hater, please that's so stupid i'm just a guy that really loves the game and that takes details/facts into account. i dont like today's NBA, sorry, i'm being honest. Like i said, i can compare past and now: money, millions of it, a lot 3 shooting plays, less post moves, EXCUSES, less defense, less contact, terrible all star games (saw the last one?.....) , many plays (stepbacks and others) are learned in the "laboratory" giving no space for nature-talent, etc. There are some exception, but they are few in number. Lebron, for example, for me, despite being an extraordinary player, represents the opposite of being the GOAT. But it's just my opinion. I'm not going to elaborate any further, I'll say goodbye just wishing you all the best.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I feel the same way you do. In the current NBA its hard for me to get excited. I am trying to be a fan of certain players to keep me involved. Wemby, Jokic, Luka, Kyrie, etc but its still hard to watch for me too.

Kobe or Jordan… the media might have even asked them if they were sick. Either would say something like “doesn’t matter I was on the court and the ball wasn’t going in”. Its not that hard to be a real one, unless you aren’t.
@TheRealMindCrime2 ай бұрын
Agreed. If MJ or Kobe played a dud game they never made excuses. They'd make fun of themselves for stinking then come back and dominate the next game. I remember after one playoff game in the press conference MJ called himself doo doo and pippen shit and they both laughed their asses off
@IcantThinkOfAname92 ай бұрын
Imagine Kobe complaining about his broken finger and bum knee if he lose against the Celtics. He would never. Meanwhile Lebron gets destroyed by gsw comes out with a brace on his hand saying he’s been playing on a broken hand 🙄

I don’t know if a 10pt game on a playoff game as a 30pt averager is “showing up”… besides the literal meaning of showing up. Unless Jordan fills the hell out of the stat sheet and wins any low scoring game is the same.
@TheRealMindCrime2 ай бұрын
Yeah i would've been shocked if MJ only got 10 in a playoff game. We'd all be worried he wasn't well or something was wrong lol. Or it would only make sense in a massive blowout with him on the bench but that never happened either lol

After Shaq left the lakers, Kobe had excuses. The most common was that he didn’t have the players or the talent. Later on he grew up and said things like man up and no excuses probably learning that you sound like a big baby when you make excuses.

Remember the series against spurs? I believe. Before he took his talents to south beach? He shot free throws using left. That's why commentators were flabbergasted. Turns out, he did that in purpose. Cause when they lost the series and when the media asked him why he used his left hand during his free throws, he said he was injured. But there was no mention about that injury prior to that particular game. What a liar. What a narcissist

LeBron will play 82 ........ He will play a minute in games he would usually take off. He really wants to match Jordan. HE knows who the real GOAT is.

I just love how LeBron had a bad game because he’s sick and that’s the excuse that he used for Jordan and 97 game five had the flu/food poisoning and he had what was it 37 points that game with I don’t know how many rebounds and he didn’t use that as an excuse to play bad he still went out there and did his job but LeBron has the sniffles has a bad game and all of a sudden I was sick that is no excuse, especially when you want to say that you’re the goat.
@TheRealMindCrime2 ай бұрын
Yup. The GOAT shows up and expects to win even when obviously very sick. Lebron did the opposite.

They give excuses if they do know context and the media of course is hyping it still for views. Same with the NBA and they should’ve moved on by now from Lebron to someone else. If Sterns was still commissioner the game would be a lot better. Silver is a complete joke
@TheRealMindCrime2 ай бұрын
I agree. I think the NBA should've been marketing Steph the past 10 years. Instead its all Lebron
