5 Championships in 9 finals appearances in a 12 year career. Second in mvp voting to Jordan the last year he played because of HIV. Think of that too. He was the second best player in the league the year he retired. In his last season, they were 58-24, losing in the finals to the Bulls. The next year without magic, they went 43-39, losing in 4 games in the first round to Portland. That is a huge drop-off. Magic made everyone on the team better.

I am not the biggest Lebron fan but I believe he is unfairly judged by his physical uniqueness (similar to Wilt) and the insane hype and expectations put upon him since he was 16. Objectively, he is a physical and a statistical marvel. However, three things are what make me move him down the list of greatest players. 1. Lack of Killer Instinct. He did not have the thirst to have the ball when it mattered the most like Magic, Bird, or Kobe. 2. His movement to different teams and insistence on having things HIS way are a turnoff to many. If you get everything you want, you should win the chip. He ditched Miami after winning his first 2 because Pat Riley wouldn't give his boys team jobs. Compromise is the key. Even Jordan took less money until the last 2 years of his career. 3. Self Aggrandizing. His constant crying for attention and reciting stats that really don't matter just show his insecurity. No other great player screams they are the greatest as much as Lebron. If life was 2K, Lebron would be my GOAT. In real life, when I HAVE to win, there are many players I pick above him. Just my opinion.
