Also, don't forget the nba has helped him on multiple occasions.... the cavs conveniently get 3 number 1 picks and number 3 or 4 pick, the 4 years he was in Miami. Some how its all good to employ your best friend as an agent who then recruits other athletes to come play with you, but that's somehow not a conflict of interest. Then there's the hoard of steroid allegations thrown his way that are blatantly ignored. Then, the rigged 2016 finals, where draymond got suspended for flailing his arms at lebron. And then steph and klay are conveniently in foul trouble games 6 and 7.

Bro you bout to melt my damn phone spitting this Dylan level hot 🔥🔥!! I agree 10000% about sports being about competition at its most basic level. I've argued this point forever smh. I attribute most of the decline of the NBA culture to LeBron, but in fairness, another huge part of it is that the money is soooo huge now, that these guys will become Uber rich withOUT that competitive fire. For LeBron it's not about competing to win between the lines. It's about competition in the court of public opinion because there are a number of players ON THE COURT who supercede him. That's why he has to use the trick bag and the media and go through many machinations for us to beleive that he is something different and better than what our eyes SHOW us. #theformatpodcast

Nice job being factual. Zero hate. You even gave him too much credit in saying he “willed” his team to the finals in his first stint in Cleveland.😁. We all know it was the weakest East all time and even the media at the time acknowledged that. The talk back then, before Klutch took control of the media/NBA, was that LeBron system cannot beat high IQ teams from the real conference, Western Conference. He routinely got obliterated in the finals vs real competition and resulted in us seeing his mental and emotional weakness when the going gets tough. It’s his trademark. Even with superteams, if the weaker team showed heart and didn’t go away, he collapsed mentally, especially in the clutch. That’s his history, that’s not hate. Those factual reasons are why he doesn’t belong in any top 10 convo’s much less goat convo’s. Many other reasons of course, but would be too much to type.

Great job on the video. Clarity, Historical context, all included. Salute. I would like to piggyback, while Lebron had indeed cheated the integrity of the game, undermining the competitive aspect. He was a high paid pawn. Adam Silver, is complicit in “watering down” the NBA product, making it solely about entertainment. We know he “admitted” to changing the rules, and allow for players to showcase their skills~ understand the rule changes (the ridiculous dribbling, zero step/ gather step/ blatant carry ) freedom of movement, allowing smaller guards ~ specifically Steph Curry to display his long range shooting ~ when teams were physical with him before his meteoric rise, he was “okay” … changed the rules~ Steph is unanimous MVP and Golden State becomes a dynasty. Other teams, paste and copy the Warriors blueprint as well as the players paste and copy team hop super team… The rule changes and style of play have even allowed Lebron to be statistically better in his later years… it’s not because of his skills. Idk, in my opinion, the LeBron experience has been “directed and narrated” from the beginning. Imagine if Melo goes to Detroit ~ completely different narrative regarding Melo. I am convinced he gets at least 2 championships in Detroit… can’t be substantiated , so I digress. Imagine if Chris Paul goes to LA… again… I digress, I’m not saying things weren’t scripted on behalf of Lebron,,,, and KD is a better player! Proved it during the lockout FIRST! and continued to showcase it in the back to back Finals MVP when he was THE DIFFERENCE… THE BEST PLAYER. Lebron cheated the game and his own legacy… by default he cheated and marginalized the legacy of players like KD, and Kyrie. Again I digress… I’ll end with this. Lebron was never the most dominant player of any single decade…never was the best player on a team that won at minimum 3 chips in 10 years~ he’s not even on Bird’s level. Kobe was better in the 2010’s Steph was better in the 2010’s, and KD IMO… Nike and the NBA tried to make LeBron the greatest, but he didn’t want to compete… and despite those entities making it easier… His legacy will be forever be linked to the decline of the “Game”

LeBron proved that GM’s were not needed to build a winning team. Winning may mean more to some than others but LeBron learned not wait and waste his prime in hopes a GM and an Owner would provide him with the right players. Cheating the game means there was set rules instead of dated guidelines of the past that were thrown aside. Could his career been yes did he cheat anyone but himself meh.
