@@ddh540a ridiculous point when you consider ALL 30 teams played, bubble or not
@ddh5402 ай бұрын
@@hedon5028 so answer this question for me then. If they had a legitimate championship team, why did they get rid of the whole championship tip during the off-season? Who does that? It’s because the team was not as good as the bubble made them out to be. Both teams were exposed. Miami and LA were beneficiaries of the bubble.
@bdww40722 ай бұрын
@@ddh540 yet everyone had the same advantage so it doesn't matter. How do you not understand that? It stripped away all the bull shit. The travel, home court advantage, players partying the night before and any other distractions other than straight basketball. It's just like highschool basketball or AAU where you go to a tournament and do nothing but play basketball for a whole week and then some. The guys who loved basketball and truly just ball flourished. Jamal Murray, Donovan Mitchell, Jimmy Buckets, Bron, AD, the whole Suns team, TJ fucking Warren, Joker, Freak etc. etc. All those guys just loved basketball and that was the only advantage anyone had because It was the same for everyone. If you actually love basketball and straight up focus and strategy then the Bubble was some of the best basketball you could watch. Also, the Heat team is still making it to the finals fool. The Lakers made bad management moves but the two main pieces remain. Stop making shit up.
@bdww40722 ай бұрын
@@ddh540 explain to me how the bubble. That every single team was stuck in. Was advantageous to those teams? Did Jamal Murray, Donovan Mitchell and TJ Warren get the secret advantage too or just those teams? What about the Suns who went undefeated?

He's incredibly overrated. Yes he has an incredible basketball IQ and would be a phenomenal coach. Yes he was a solid defender and good floor general BUT He was a terrible shooter and is efficiency was a problem. You could sag off him and basically double team anyone you wanted. His plus minus numbers have always shown him to be about an average player. Despite dropping dimes like Stockton the advanced stats just don't like him. He peaked early and after he left Boston he didn't do anything because his game is completely dependent on playing with other elite players as he was terrible with young guys. That's why he did well with the Lakers one year because he had vet stars to feed off of. I am not sure where you think he deserves to be ranked for point guards but I think hed be appropriately ranked as a top 50 point guard of all time but somewhere after 40.
